Wait thirty minutes for a 5 minute game. Why do people gave a ######### about this game mode?

Personally I never understood why ppl like 2v8. I think it's mostly killers who has that one friend they always wanted to play killer with but if you don't have a partner the mode imo isn't fun. Especially when you have to sit in queue for 15 to 30 minutes. I just pray that the devs don't extend this mode for multiple weeks like they did last time. Let the mode end on the date you set plz.

I really like 2vs8 and I'm solo queuing most of the time as killer and survivor. The appeal at least for me is that 2vs8 feels way more relaxed and arcade like than the total sweatfest that are most normal games. Also for killer it's fun to get other randoms and see how they play killer and how well they harmonize with you.
As for the long queue times: that's why netflix exists

If I have to rely on some other form of media to entertain me while playing a game. I'm just going to do that instead

No idea, I literally just play 1v4 with an escape cake and earn much more per hour than in 2v8.

As the other person said, if I have to do something to past the time in between matches, rather just do that fulltime. I rather go watch netflix or youtube and not play dbd when there are 15min queue times. Some of us also dont have all night to play and having to wait 15 to 30mins for a 5 min match isnt worth the time investment.

I mean it's personal preference. My normal queue times are also quite long with 3-5 minutes so the jump to 10-15 minutes isn't that high and I also started doing other stuff while queuing anyways since my queues aren't instant.
Also if I have an hour to play DBD I'd rather play 3 or 4 fun 2vs8 matches than 6 or 7 normal matches. Seeing how popular this mode is I think many players feel the same

It can be fun, but waiting 15+ mins in queue just for people to be running guide and instapopping gens is miserable.

It has its moments but it feels really bad as Killer, and feels too easy as Survivor. They did not cook.

Just use your time wisely dude
Do your dishes, cook dinner for later, play another game, maybe try some new hobby like drawing or depend some time talking to another family member.
Chatting whith the friends you're queing whith also helps. No friends? Go into the oficial Dead By Daylight server and entero a channel.

Yeah, it's boring af on both sides.
i mean, survivor is kinda fun if you're in a party powertripping with overpowered class abilities, but that's about it.
killer is snore mimimi, survivor in general is snore mimimi.
failed gamemode that people play because it allows to play killer role with a friend.

I feel the same way about it. I played survivor last night since they have the fastest queue so I could just do the challenges and it was so boring and unfun. Last 2v8 I played killer and is felt pretty boring aswell. Overall I still prefer normal 1v4 dbd and chaos shuffer.
