The new scourge hook jagged compass is genius
this perk is going to be a game changer for current scourge hooks and ongoing scourge hook designs. This perk buffs weak SHs while keeping pain res the same. Floods of rage and gift of pain is going to be more consistent since they proc when survivors get unhooked regular hooks. SHs like hangman trick and monstrous are going from unusable to alight. jagged compass is going to be hangman’s trick savior. Monstrous shrine is going to be useful with every hook turning into a scourge hook pressuring hook states will be useful especially with the 10+ seconds they added. I’m excited for this perk to come out it basically makes 4 perks more usable.

Wait have you tested it? Does it really work with gift of pain and flood of pain?
If so, I have a devilish build planned with Deathbound 😈

I think it's a bandaid perk for a broken mechanic. The problem with scourge hooks is that they're almost never spaced properly, the result of which is a killer equipping a perk(s) and not being able to use it due to RNG, not even due to something they can control or something the survivors do. There's several solutions for this. Code the scourge hooks to be evenly spaced. Get rid of the scourge hook mechanic altogether, and just give killers the benefit of the perk whenever they get a hook. Or make the first few hooks the killer uses turn into scourge hooks. But no. They did the copout solution and just created a perk for it, the same way they created Shattered Hope. My view on this perk is negative for these reasons; I don't really care what the secondary effects are.

it does. you get scourge hook which triggers flood of rage and gift of pain in the same hook.
its unnecessary rng on a mechanic that does not need rng.

I had a little section in this post saying I could complain how this is a bandaid perk but RNG is something BHVR have never been good at so this is better than nothing
