Slinger should not be a 2v8 killer
Holding people after spearing them just for an immediate double tap and insta down seems like this is not something that was play tested.
Spear someone, hold them, wait for huntress to snipe the stationary target, immediately hit them, profit.
I get that people will have different opinions on whether or not double teaming like this is enjoyable or whether it should be encouraged, or even a strong strategy, but personally it just feels very dull to be on the other side of and not well thought out.

If both killers focus their energy on you, you weren't going to last very long regardless.

Correct, but this easily something that can occur while not being chased by both of them. Get speared and the Huntress can be however far away they please for the most part, they turn, snipe you and go back to what they were doing.

The problematic part here isn't necessarily deathslinger but rather hillbilly with his insta down and the huntress with her bug

Absolutely, these problems can coexist though.

He is pretty boring, chain being shorter could fix a lot of issues

If both killers focus on you, those generators aren't going to last long either.
Double teaming is strong but it relies on finding weak links and it lacks pressure. Both huntress and Slinger are slow killers you're putting your fate into the hands of the Slinger quite literally

I dunno, I personally haven't felt like Deathslinger was particularly oppressive to play against in 2v8. As others have said, both killers double teaming one survivor can be to their own detriment losing time that could be spent on chasing other survivors and patrolling gens. But also, I think in comparison to Trapper, Deathslinger is less oppressive. Slinger has to physically be present to hold a survivor on the chain ( his time being spent), and even when he does the survivor can squirm around, making it harder to hit them from a distance.Trapper on the other hand, traps fully hold survivors stationary, and he himself doesn't need to spend any time physically present to do so. While the target is stationary, they are sitting ducks for Huntress' projectile, Nurse's blink, or even Blight & Hillbilly's ability to sprint a large distance in a short amount of time. Not to say I think Trapper is overpowered, but more so that I feel Deathslinger doesn't have that much of a power curve when keeping Trapper in mind. I think it's just inevitable some killer combos will be more lethal than others.Edit: I misinterpreted the OP because I didn't know there was a bug, I thought they just meant the combo of spearing + 1 teammate hit. (While I was playing before the bug fix, out of coincidence, I never hit anyone speared by Slinger unless they were already injured and would have gone down anyway)

It actually feels like something that's working EXACTLY as intended. Killers should have synergies with one another, that's the whole point of having two on a match.

I will say, this was partly a bug that we fixed earlier today. If Huntress (or any other killer), hits a survivor who's chained, that chain will instantly break to give the survivor a chance to get away. Unfortunately there was a bug that allowed the killers M2 to hit the chained survivor without causing the chain to break :( this was something we addressed today (it didn't require a download so don't worry, you didn't miss it, it's all done on our side).
