Whats the difference?

bad ping=advantage for killers
that shouldn't even be a thing. bad ping shouldn't give you an advantage.

So the opposing 4 survivors have still a disadvantage. It doesnt change anything.

This Bubba Main is correct. I've been M1ed after fully landing across a pallet, and watched others take an M1 after a pallet was dropped all the way down :/
Edit: I forgot to comment on the main post. This would be challenging and separating the queues could make wait times quite long. Is there a reasonable way to check whether someone's in a wired connection? I know it's possible, but I don't know if it's good to do.

Yeah because it's totally fair to me, using a Wifi connection to play, to be paired with people abusing VPNs and from other countries to mess with their ping. Totally fair! /s

I don't think this is possible to do on any level that doesn't just favor people that can afford to pay for better connections.

i would love to stop fighting against killers with absurdily high pings (mostly ranged killers)
but behavior sadly doesnt wanna bother upgrading their servers or their code to even detect an anomaly or someone possibly using vpn (because it probably still detects which ip is trying to connect onto what host)
but behavior didnt bother for 8 years so it probably wont start now….probably in 2040 if its still alive but who knows1 -
hopefully they could do a ping limiter so anything past this ping is a no-reg
they can still play the game but i shouldnt be punished for someone having high ping2 -
Again, this punishes people for not having the money to spend on crazy fast internet.

i shouldnt be punished for having good wifi while someone else has bad wifi
+ my country has slow wifi speed yet i still manage to get my ping around 80, not 120-200 🤮1 -
it would have immense consequences on que times for people with faster connections if this is actually a huge problem.

that wouldn't make sense that's a way too huge span:
40-45 ms is easily possible without cable so you already have a lot people with a ping there that shouldn't be punished. Not even talking about the fact 20-24 ms is also very possible as well as 8-12 ms in some cases.
The rest of the people also shouldn't be punished, it would be better if bhvr makes the game less ping reliant and synchronizes it better. There's no reason for such weak "fixes" xD

I hope you're aware that 80 ms isn't insanely good on itself although still playable (And I can say that confidently because I have 40-80 depending on the mercy of my internet). Also you'll drop to 120-200 ms probably as soon as it's not perfect for that moment if you're on 80 most of the time xD

sure, but at the same time, longer queues probably wont get it fixed unless its slow just to make sure people dont play with +100 pings, then i would be up for it
but behavior make their mmr system to priortize quick match ups rather then accurate "mmr"1 -
sure 80 isnt good but its not so bad that you'll see someone like me teleporting or getting vaults/no-hitreg wen im not supposed to

It's actually already enough to get hit more often as survivor and get more hits as killer xD

What is your source for this claim?
I would much rather see bHVR tell us since they must have numbers on this, checking all games where one side has much larger ping than the other, if the game is skewed to one side or another.

i sadly dont have sources for this, just experinced with and against people playing with high pings
i almost never managed to get any advantages as a survivor having high pings due to the hitboxes being massively delayed and slowed down
compared to the killers powers/hits being faster because they are essentially teleporting or being fully delayed
i doubt behavior would care or bother with something like this sadly0
