I genuinely cant with this iri shard grind
this game is so p2w it feels impossible. I have 1k hours yet ive YET to unlock every killer/survivior, why?
Because the only free currency basically takes a century to get, and you only get 100-ish shards in return.
If i truly get fast past matches, and strictly aim to make them as fast as possible, I get around 200 shards a hour, this comes out to
10 hours for 2000 shards
22.5 hours for 4500 shards-
45 hours for 9000 shards (survivior + killer price)
150 for 30,000 shards(legendary cosmetics)
Is this not absurd? Times this by 18 non licensed killers I have to buy then the 20 non licensed survivors and i need approximately 342,000 iri shards to unlock every non-licensed survivor/killer , which is 1710 hours for me. THIS DOESNT EVEN INCLUDE THE LICENSED KILLER AND SURVIVIOR PERKS
Keep in mind this doesnt even account for shrine of secrets, and cosmetics, which can cost up to 29K SHARDS PER COSMETIC BUNDLE??
And people wonder why afk killers are on the rise, its genuinely impossible to freely progress through this game. There isnt even alternative ways to get iri shards, no reward for raising devotion, no iri shard bonus, nothing. I get this game needs to make a profit, but is the monetization from cosmetics not enough???
I cant wait to finally unlock the new killer and survivior to, to only see their perks & power were heavily nerfed.
Unsure if this is relevant, but i spent a initial 30$ buying the game, then a continuous 10$ for ps plus so i can play online

Actually the strongest killer is the nurse and she is free.

Which will always be a terrible excuse.
I remember when I started playing in 2017 and getting intimidated by the amount of perks each side had, as well as all the killers and add ons I needed to memorize. There were only 7 killers back then with about 50ish perks on each side. Thats also taking into account that I didnt have the luxury of grinding for a character since at that point the store wasnt introduced, so I had to buy them with money. I cant even imagine being a new player and seeing over 5x the amount of killers, and 3x the amount of perks on each side.
So by literal definition the game might not be pay to win, but it is practically leaning on the edge. For those who are f2p it is literally impossible for them to get all the characters and perks considering how fast new content gets added and how slow the grind is for shards.

I don't like it either. The cosmetics especially, some of which have been out for years or are DBD-original, cost more than 2 new characters combined. It's ridiculous.

It took 7 years for them to price-cut their oldest chapters. There are F2P games that respect your wallet more.
But they did do price cuts, and they are slipping Iri Shards into Rift free tracks now, so maybe they're finally turning around… slowly.
