Houndmaster feedback and another critique
Hi. This is my first time using this so go easy on me. I wanted to give feedback on Houndmaster. I want to start off and say I love the concept and design! But this killer is so riddled with bugs or a feeling of clunkiness. A lot of it has to do with the dog. Snug getting stuck on walls, Snug getting stuck in the ground, Snug getting stuck in corners, the Chase power interaction not really working as intended sometimes at pallets. I also don't understand why the dog is coded to drag the survivor to where you launched the power instead of just straight up dragging them to you. The Search command also doesn't feel that great to use. Aiming it at specific objectives is really hard and it feels like you need the precision of a surgeon ESPECIALLY if its a 2nd floor obj. I want to love this killer more I do, but these things are super frustratihg. The last thing I want to critique is her legendary cosmetic. No new voice lines or new mori and for some reason its 20 bucks ? Snug being a Poodle shouldn't automatically make it that price and it feels like you're kind of taking advantage of the hype around the dog companion to slap that price tag on there.

I agree with everything said here. The design is amazing and the killer power is really nice, but the bugs are making her underperform greatly and most of the time she is reduced to being an M1 killer. Apart from the bugs, I honestly believe she should also get a couple of fixes. The search command should automatically lock on objects like gens and doors, unless the player actively aims at an area clear of all of that. I feel that Snug's detection range is small even when he is commanded to traverse long distances, but this might just be me. His hitbox during chase though is VERY small and you often miss hits that honestly should have hit. Even Deathslinger's shots are easier to land. I would suggest to increase his hitbox by a bit, like 20%, and make it so that whenever a survivor breaks free from Snug on their own, they get deep-wounds, just like Deathslinger. It's incredibly frustrating to get a hit with a difficult power like the dog, only for them to break free without a single punishment because the dog dragged them to your launch location instead of directly towards you.
Also, I agree with the criticism on the legendary cosmetic. These are supposed to be very unique, not only because of the new skin but ESPECIALLY because of the different mori and/or how much they change the original character design. Trapper became a Bear with a hella cooler mori and Huntress became a literal Were-Elk, again with a great, creative mori. I understand the Houndmaster cannot be changed a lot, only the dog (which is great btw) but relying on just a different dog breed, without anything new to it feels like a robbery for the amount of bucks this costs. Sorry to say, but I won't be paying that much for a Poodle that does the exact same thing as the original dog.
