Invocation: Treacherous Crows Need buff.

Invocation: Treacherous Crows offers a small reward for a large risk + Nothing special about Invocation: Treacherous Crows other than that it works with crows but even with that there are many perks that do the job more efficiently without any risks or downsides, even the key with the add-one that reveals the killer's aura, does its job well and is under the player's control.

My suggestion:

1- Increased aura reveals duration to 3 seconds.

2-Add a sound cue for all survivors when the killer scares away the crows.

3-Remove the requirement that the killer scare a crow while the survivor is within the terror radius.

4-Reveal the aura of the crows near the survivors (white aura) to all survivors.

5-Changed the downside from making you injured and broken for the rest of the match to making you affected by the Oblivius effect for the rest of the trial.

6-This perk reveals the killer aura even if the survivor is affected by the blindness effect.

explain:

-Increased the duration of the killer's aura detection and added an audio cue to help survivors see the killer's aura and not miss it. With 3 seconds of aura detection, survivors have a good window to see the killer's aura before the duration expires.

-Removed the requirement for a survivor to remain within the terror radius when the killer scares the crow to detect his aura, because it is very restricted most of the time the killer is chasing the survivor and thus the survivor scares the crows or some killers have a smaller terror radius and thus it is difficult to detect the killer's aura.

-Make survivors see the aura of the crows to help them locate the crows and more planning or strategies.

-I don't think I need an explanation, broken for the rest of the match very punishing

-To ensure that your 60 seconds of investment in the basement will not be wasted.

    >nerf killers' aura perks!!!!!!

    >and give us permanent wallhack on killer for whole team!!!!!

The only change it needs is change Broken effect on something else.

Would you rather reveal aura on any perks chase or speed up generator repairs?

Just avoid the crows. The killer needs to get very close to the crows for them to fly away.

It's info perk and info can be used in almost every aspect of the game. You can use it in chase, to hide, to prerun, and for other decision-making (crazy word for average survivor, I know).

"Just avoid the crows" instantly goes to my gold collection of bright ideas here. In other words, "just stand in the corner of the map, buddy, cmon".

Even this perk in its current state you have no idea if the whole team saw your aura, so it's not end of the match.

I have used it rarely does it pop up even with Eyes of Belmont you have to dedicate the entire build to it and the payoff is not great and useless against stealth killers.

The perk offers a LOT of aura info for EVERYONE on almost all Killers except for two, both of which are mid-tier to weaker Killers.

The perk being an Invocation that breaks you and can't be combined with another Invocation is valid, correct, and 100% necessary. This is a strong perk already. It doesn't need a buff. Figure out how to use it and you'll see how strong it really can be; it's for more advanced players who have strong loopers on their teams or are themselves strong loopers. And Invocations don't go away once you kill the Invoker, either, so this perk completely alters the game for the rest of the trial.

Yes, wallhacks on Killers IS that strong. And no, they can't just "avoid the crows" any more than Survivors can. That's a really stupid thing to ask Killers to worry about, period.

Yep. The worst perk in the game, is strong. Are we even playing the same game?

There is like no crows on some maps like the game, so it can be utterly useless.

I didn't say there was none, there is barely any, have you tried using it on there? it doesn't proc at all

Also I love how they flopped with teamwork perks, buffed them without the downside, no one still uses them.

The same would happen with this if broken was removed, I just have no idea why they think this is a great way to do perk design.

You can have power but lmao suffer.

And it can get countered by 3 different status effects: Oblivious, since it doesn't count Oblivious survivors as in the terror radius, Blindness and Undetectable.

Info is power. Info is stronger on Survivor against most Killers than you think.

Unblockable info. Unblockable info the Killer can't avoid.

That's hardly "the worst perk in the game", please stop trying to lowkey insult my intellect.

Ah, yes, the almighty "unblockable info", how could we even complain about the devs giving us such an allmighty power?!

Except to get that reward, you have to sit in the basement twidlling your thumbs for a full minute, and that's not even counting the travel time. During that time, you could have already done a full gen.

But after that, in a case that your fellow survivors won't rat you out to the killer for throwing (which, yes, it does happen) or a screaming perk/ an aura reveal won't fold your plans, you get the fearsome unblockable info… that is completely RNG dependant and partially or fully countered by 3 separate status effects (Undetectable, Blindness, Oblivious)

And that's not taking into the account the giant TUNNEL ME! sign you put on your back when finishing the ritual, which shortens your chases in half, gives the killer free tracking help and requires a full build just to tone down the cons to an acceptable level.

Why would anyone run it? For prerunning? Listen to the terror radius, watch the crows, use Dark Sense. Aura reading during looping? Run a Blood Amber Key if you care about that, or use Troubleshoter or Alert if you need an item.

I'm not expecting you to change your stance, really. You seem like you would complain about the PTB Weaving Spiders.

Information is the second strongest thing in the game anyone can have. Killer or Survivor. Unblockable info in the form of crows is strong. I DO think Broken shouldn't be the penalty for this though, it should probably be something like Oblivious/Blindness all round instead as a tradeoff for the fact you can ONLY see crow noise notifs now.

That's because Survivor is not the power role. They are not in any way supposed to have a lot of power. They can bring four of the same perk into one game; by necessity they have to be weaker perks.

It blows my mind in 2024 people still don't understand and accept this fact. The game isn't meant to be Survivor-sided or a Survivor power fantasy. The game as Survivor is where you try to survive. It's Dead by Daylight, not Get One Over on the Killer by Daylight.

this perk really is dookies tbh. I saw it a few times when people were doing the escape 5 matches broken achievement. But honestly it did not do much and I did not notice much of a change. Id rather them run spiders.

You keep insisting that information is the most powerful thing or the second most powerful thing, yet it is not. The killer seeing the survivors' aura does not mean that the killer will end the chase quickly and kill them faster, and vice versa.

It is powerful in situations like finding survivors or playing mind games, but for survivors it helps to know where the killer is to avoid, prepare for or not fall into mind games.

However, the aura is useless in very open maps or in an open loop.

In this case the perk is really bad, you need to spend 60 seconds in the basement then be injured and broken for the rest of the game and rely entirely on RNG to get value and for some reason they added a restriction that requires a survivor to be within the terror radius while the killer scares the crow, so instead of playing efficiently you have to hide to see the killer's aura and if the killer is chasing the survivor then the survivor doesn't benefit either because it's survivor the one scaring the crows.

You can claim all you want but I and others have proven how bad designed this perk is.

I'm fine having to play around the perk, I feel like calm spirit and eyes of Belmont are mandatory but I don't think there's should be a TR requirement. Either the killer is Undetectable or they are not, so it shouldn't matter.

I don't like the idea of this perk, but I don't think it's completely terrible

    The effect could be nice.

If there weren't ~20 different drawbacks to it.
