I want the killer to show the number of hooks
I felt it was a bit unfair that the UI for only the survivors was improved in this update. Since a new perk that exchanges the number of times a person has been hooked has been added, I think it would be good to at least allow the killer to see the number of times all survivors have been hooked after that perk has been used.

The reason you don't know who has how many hooks is to make it more difficult to tunnel that being said killer will tunnel anyway if the survivor isn't able to counter play well but I think you as killer shouldn't know still.

Killers should never have that information. Tunneling is already a huge issue, and that would make it far worse and easier

It's not difficult to choose a survivor and then repeatedly hook that survivor. It doesn't require tracking hookstates.
It becomes much more difficult to track hookstates if you're spreading out hooks and trying not to tunnel.
Hiding this information does nothing to hinder tunneling. But it does make it more difficult to not tunnel and leads to accidental tunneling.
I don't like tunneling, I usually try to get 8 hooks before I eliminate someone. But I'll still slip up and forget who I've hooked when, or miss when someone goes to 2nd stage on their first hook.
Do you know how often I get accused of tunneling when I've never done it intentionally?
Hiding hookstates most definitely results in more tunneling.
Now that I can't trust my own internal hook count thanks to survivors moving them around, I'm going to end up accidentally tunneling a whole lot more.
At the very least there should be an indication when you pick up a survivor if they're on death hook. At least then you can choose to drop them and allow a rescue.

That's actually a good point, intentional tunneling does not require tracking hook states at all.
However, if killers did see hook states, it would likely lead to more intentional decisions to ignore 0-1 hook state survivors in favour of death hook survs when given a choice.
That said, it would certainly make being merciful significantly easier if the game was transparent about it

I think it would be appropriate to make this change now that we have a perk that alters who has what number of hookstages. I am really tired of making good tactical plays or being more than fair and not tunnelling at all, and still being accused of tunnelling. Like my guy I am trying NOT to, I have ADHD and I can't always remember who I hooked last very well… 😭

Survivors: killers shouldn't tunnel and should 8-hook before getting a kill.
Also survivors: killers shouldn't be able to see hook states because… tunneling would be… easier??

even tho tunneling is the same as genrushing but just made harder

I mean we at least have a small version of it with the new perk, it's really good to see who I have to tunnel instead of the person I wanted before xD

they need to add this feature, especially after introducing perk that messing with hook stages

The killer's quality of life is not taken into account with the implementation of the perk to operate the hook stage. The Survivor's Rulebook says as much.
