0 counterplay implies that the rest of the game didn't happen. It's not like survivors are guaranteed endgame or have the ability to force the killer into where they are hooked.

Whenever this comes up my thought is: should survivors have some counterplay in the last instant before the killer hooks them? Some little mini game to give themselves a last chance? No, to say there is no counterplay ignores everything else that happened up to that point.

i have mixed feelings about this change.

i think a shorter duration for endurance when exit gates are powered would be more suitable, as i don't exactly feel comfortable with the idea of a 100% secured kill just because the gates are on. the survivors should have an incentive to play more carefully since late game involves more risk.

completely removing the option for the survivors to be able to get one more person out would simply pressure people to leave those behind who are hooked since they'd just die anyway.

BT shouldn't be basekit use to be one his main talking points.

No, that's a terrible idea. It would go directly against why it was added at all by just making the actual BT perk mandatory again for endgame saves. There's a reason why it was implemented.

It has counter play on 2 killers base kit ATM. Slinger and Houndmaster can circumvent BT with power. Trapper could count as a 3rd if they run in to a trap but that's an if.

“You would basically be guaranteed to die if you got hooked in the end game except in the very unlikely situation that your teammate brought the perk”

Yep because back then killers used to hit the person unhooked immediately. It was really awful back then

How about we just deactivate all perks when the gates are powered? How about all survivors automatically die when the gates are powered? Will that make you happy? Let me guess, you're the type of person to tunnel someone and get hit with ds and complain that there's no counterplay

Is it really “tunneling” if it’s the end game? What else should the killer do?
