This killer main in the video says that it is correct way to play and that he is going to ruin all next matches this way, if this trend continues people will not want to play as survivors...

the whole video in question literally explains why killers

Going for hooks was only viable when it actually had a impact. Hooking now is stupid because it activates 60% of all perks that can get you off hook, increase heal times, extra health state, 2nd chance perks and more. Pair this with the fact that killer perks that rewarded hook states got nerfed and the new shoulder the burden perk and— quite frankly hooking survivor’s seems more like buffing them

Compare this to slugging now, where killer perks actively help with the playstyle, every second not spent saving them is a a second wasted, let me list ALL the pros

-instaneous, no need to leave, hook then reapply pressure

-perks like deerstalker and knock out actively support it, unlike hooking perks which recently got nerfed

-survior perks centered around hooks are nullifed entirely

Im not justifying slugging as im good enough to still hook and play, but seeing lobbys will deli

I don't understand why you support such gameplay? Do you want all casual survivors like me to switch to the killer role or give up the game altogether? This will not lead to anything good and the game will have survivors who only play together and you will also start complaining that you have much more difficult matches like that guy in that video who only complains like that instead of playing well

Honestly that user has an unhealthy grudge against bHVR and they would basicly do anything and the worst legal behaviour against other players in this game to try to win and to get at bHVR, its best to ignore them.

Slugging is a great problem for the enjoyment of DBD and I wish it could be easily solved, however this isnt the case, but 2v8 shows promise and it means bHVR is into testing such systems, so that is great.

As a Survivor, if you try to be realistic how long should you be slugged before you should be able to pickup yourself?
My estimate is somewhere 30 to 40sec.

Yes. Dark times have come, when hooks have become more beneficial to the survivors. Killers have literally 23 reasons to forget about hooks.

However, today I would like to focus on another point. And what do lobbies look like in the eyes of a killer?

You know, whenever I try to give hooks a chance. My lobby looks like this. This somehow does not encourage considering hooks as a working tactic. Unless, of course, you want to become a confident Lightborn user. But even in this case, I guarantee that everyone involved in the process was unhappy. I had to go brutal and play a boring game. The survivors did not get their baby Trapper.

The only conclusion I can draw from this. Do not try to play hooks, but take one of my slug builds. At least I would have fun.

If you think that these are isolated cases. Here is a selection of many people trying to wean you off using hooks. Add to that all the buffs for survivors with hooks. Slug tactics look more attractive than hooks.

Are you sure that the basic Unbreakable will help you?

All you will achieve is just prolonging your 4 minutes of agony. You will fall and get up. Your 4 minutes of torment will turn into much more time.

Always look at the long term, what your buffs will do. Consider the nature of the players on the killers. Killers have truly enormous patience. Taking by attrition is a common thing for a killer. Chess Skull Merchant is clear proof of this.

It is better to have a "die faster" button. You need to reduce suffering, not increase it.

    I totaly agree with this.

With hookperks getting nerfed and the anti-camping features it mean that Hooking become worser and worser.

With 70sec per Hookstate, to die on hook is 140sec. You get 1ct/sec if as killer you are 14m or closer, basicly creating a kind of "deadzone"

And there are alot of strong talents like off the record or Deliverance. What you need as killer is time, and atm you get the time better if you slug.

I completely agree with your opinion that the content maker (Choy) doesn't show any skill but simply shows the most disgusting gameplay and he also played with the thrill perk to further destroy survivors. I hope that all the comments above that support this video will one day face a 10+ minute queue thanks to your unsportsmanlike games. It's a shame that all the killers have turned into comp players who cannot accept 1 defeat after 10 wins in a row for the killers😭

The problem isn't slugging. The problem is the rise of slugging because hooking is looking increasingly much less useful, feasible, and worth it.

If BHVR wants to fix this they need to implement hooks being a powerful thing for Killers, not a tool Survivors can use or prevent the Killer from using.

Eh… I slug. But only if I see other viable targets to go after. It's just free pressure. :)

Slugging just to slug as your main strategy to close out the game is cringe though.
