How is the Houndmaster Changes?
Honestly the QOL is welcomed but the number tweaks should have been more Houndmaster is still not good and needs more buffs
Houndmaster needed buffs imo
Chase Hit box Width increased by 1.5 meters
Collision detection reduced
Chase cooldown reduced to 3 seconds
Chase command speed increased by 15%
Chase Speed increased by 20%
Redirect time linger increased by 1 second
Search Radius starts at 10 meters
Search growth radius multiplier increased by 3x
Houndsense duration increased by 35% (brown addon basekit)
What do you think Houndmaster really needed buffed?

I haven't played HM nor do I intend to.
That being said, she looks like a Killer that has "Legion Syndrome".
She can't be buffed too much or else she just removes Survivor agency. I have heard that she is pretty unpleasant to go against, even though she was bugged to hell and back. I imagine that feeling will intensify not due to strength, but due to her design.
One of these days, BHVR will figure out that Killers need to be both high-skill and fun to play against/as.

houndmaster is middle skill-level. she's not hard to pick up but does have some learning curve to landing dashes around loops. the reward isn't there.
From my experience, the fun to play against for survivor is when killer is easy to loop and easy to bully. BVHR will never be able to make a killer that is fun/enjoyable to play as killer while being "fun" for survivor.

I don't feel any changes when I play as her. It's like nothing is different at all.

Have you noticed the bugs? I just played 2 games as her and I didn't see the same bugs that plagued her.

Her bugs are pretty much still there dog won't go at times, dog gets stuck on things still, ai is still jumbly

My question is why didn't they buff search that radius is still so tiny and useless houndsense

Mmm, I have to disagree with you on the middle-skill floor…I never had a killer where Im having the hardest time winning or even getting kills with. I have seen many ppl say, including myself that her skill floor is outrageously high. For the first week of playing her, I didn't get a single kill at all meanwhile on other killer's releases I would at least be able to compete with their adept and get a few wins. With her, I still have not been able to get her adept, the first week I wasn't able to get a single kill, and now Im getting maybe one or two kills a game but with those games Im mostly just play her as m1 killer with sbfl and only using her dog to find ppl at gens. So no I wouldn't say she has a "middle skill floor". She has a very much high one and isn't fun to pick up and learn. If I had to give an example of a killer who does have a middle-skill floor then I say Wesker or Nemmy, those two felt good to pick and learn and I was able to perform very well on them after just a few games when they came out.

We really need to get rid of this mindset in a pvp nothing will ever be high skill and fun to play against its will always be hated everything will have haters

Wesker. Nearly every complaint was from either tunneling using Infection, which was a little strong, or from overplay.
HM has a high-skill ceiling and a high floor, seems like. That has nothing to do with the reward, but her entire kit is taking away agency, it's never going to be pleasant.
Yes, people will always complain, but you can get a good view of Killers that are generally liked and Killers that aren't.

That's kinda crazy that you're having so much trouble getting kills. I've been playing her tonight and it's been fairly chill. I've gotten decent value from both search AND chase. I admit there's afew things that could be buffed aside from general bug fixes, but... I'm liking her overall.

She's still not fun to play even after the patch. I wish I could refund purchases with shards just on principle, because I have no desire to ever play her again.

I dont know what to tell you…I wish I knew what I was doing wrong..this killer has me studded on what to do with her. She not easy to learn imo. I want to enjoy her bc I always wanted a houndmaster like killer but Im just have a hard time with her and honestly it not fun losing every single match…Im not saying I want a win streak but losing as badly as I am can suck the fun out of the game.

Yeah the bugs are better and the dogs goes around objects smoother now. Its still needs some tuning for sure but its better.

The only advice I can give is take advantage of chokepoints that restricts survivor movement left and right. Also try to use your chase right away similar to quickshotting with deathslinger. She can actually send the dog out pretty quickly. If the dog bites someone mid vault, it deals dmg... keep this in mind for tiles like killershack.
I've been winning most of my matches with her, and I'm usually pretty bad at higher difficulty killers like Nurse or Blight since I'm playing on console with a controller. HM though has been pretty fun.

I am enjoying her a lot too, but I also did when she was a buggy mess. xD

still seems to be a buggy mess

The changes aren’t really noticeable IMO. The dog still gets stuck all the time :/

She NEEDS Houndsense buffs.
At base, using Search isn't really worth it since Houndsense does next to nothing. That is half of her power worthless.

Same. The bugs just made her a headache to use since I'd get SO frustrated when it would rob me of a hit. I'm noticing alot less of them now.

The first thing that needs to be improved is that there is no return for the effort involved in hitting a dog that has the worst feel and narrowest hit detection. Survivors can be almost neutralized simply by not inadvertently flying through the window frame at the same time the hound master is setting up the dog, and by being mindful of staying close to the pallet.

You said it perfectly. I have been robbed out of so many hits that could have made a difference. A lot less now. However, something interesting did happen tonight on RPD. 2 survivors were injured, heading up stairs to get to the pallet. I used the dog and got a grab. He dragged leon down the stairs. Meg freed him but not quite in time. I weapon went THROUGH leon like he was a ghost. I was dumb founded. Even the meg looked confused. LOL (Of course though they will take it. A freebie lol)

Search Radius is too small and Houndsense duration is too short and does nothing

taking away agency? wesker takes away your agency on-grab hit. The dog takes away movement agency and gives you a reward 10 second later. What is your point?
The dog not granting a hit immediately allows SWF with bodyblocking to render her dog grab ineffective. The power is SWF-abusable where as Wesker is not.
Yes, people will always complain, but you can get a good view of Killers that are generally liked and Killers that aren't.
you never get any good view. Just look at blight's history where even though the killer had a good view on gameplay, his power-level in regards to add-on made blight have negative view because he was deemed too powerful. The conclusion is that strong killer have negative views while easy and weak killer that are bullyable have good views. If your in the middle, your somewhere neutral unless your play-style on killer is deemed unfun.
