Killer Idea: The Crowd

I just wanted to share with you what a "crowd" killer would have looked in the game. Since crowded places can be quiet uncomfortable and exhausting, making some people even deeply fearing it. I am no game dev so the number maybe lacking or unbalanced but it gives an overall look of what it should feel.

Power: Crowded Place

8 ”fake survivors” are spawned in the trial. They look like the 4 survivor players. Those fake survivors roam the map, fake doing gens, totems, chests, ….
After sometimes, fake survivor disappear and spawn in another place.
#Notes fake survivors do not have hitboxes and the game tries to spawn them out of sight from suvivors.

Power: Embodiment

The killer embodies an “fake survivor” at the start of the game. When the killer is in “survivor” form he does not have a terror radius but can still be shown by auras.

Pressing the ability power button teleports you to the selected “fake survivor”.

When entering a chase, you reveal your true appearance and you terror radius starts.

#Notes Survivors have a “babbling crowd” sound when the killer teleport to a fake survivor.

Few addons idea: Remove the “babbling crowd” sound / Iri: When a fake survivor sees a survivor within 12 meters, it rushes to him. / "fake survivor" with no survivor within 48 meters will respawn closer to survivors

Killer Perks

Rush Hour

  • After using your ability power, you gain the exhausted status for 15 seconds.

#Exhausted for killer: This status prevents you from using your ability power and blocks it from charging.

  • You gain a 3% haste bonus for 3 seconds.
  • After the hast effect, this perk deactivates for 30 seconds.

When you hit a survivor, this perk is shown for the rest of the trial to the survivor hit. (like dying light or thana's red icon)

#Notes This perk does not activate if, for example, you press the ability power and immediately cancel it. You need to: Trapper → set a trap. Pyramid head → use punishment of the damned. Spirit → When exiting phase-walk.

#Notes2 This is meant to boost killer with no chasing power or mobility. Killers with chase power will gain this bonus while they suffer from some exhaust mechanic of their power. Making it worthless for most of them like Nurse, Blight or Mastermind.

Enochlophobia

  • When survivors are within 8 meters of one another, they become blind, oblivious and incapacitated for 8 seconds.

Hex: Anxiety

When a survivor is outside of the terror radius, this perk activates.

  • An “illusionary killer” will spawn out of sight and roam near the affected survivor for a brief amount of time.
  • If the “illusionary killer” has line of sight on the survivor, the illusion will run towards the survivor. “Illusionary killer” cannot be seen by the killer or by other survivors.

Affected survivors will randomly hear the terror radius for a brief moment.

And some survivor perks :

Investments

  • When you deplete an item, the closest totem is revealed to you for 8 seconds.
  • Cleansing a dull totem will replenish you item by 16 charges.
  • Cleansing a hex totem will replenish you item by 32 charges.

Crypto Mining

  • When you are working on a 50% repaired generator or more. Others survivors will have a bonus action speed for unhooking, healing, cleaning, blessing and opening chest.

Emergency Meeting

“Emergency Meeting” activates when a survivor is in the dying state.

Whenever an other survivor is in the dying state,

  • You see the aura of other survivors.
  • And you see the killer’s aura when the killer is within 12 meters of the dying survivor.

If you are the dying survivor:

  • The auras of all survivors are revealed to each other.
  • And your team sees the killer aura when the killer is within 12 meters of you.

Comments
