Did this not happen a few patches ago…? Or was there another nerf??

It wasn't a nerf out of nowhere.
They doubled the duration from 30 to 60.
Then later they removed the 1st kick requirement so it's just always just the last generator you kick.
In a hotfix of that patch they reduced the duration to 45 seconds 🤷4 -

it’s ironic how fast they nerfed those perks in the 8.3.2 hotfix and now nobody uses the perks.
Machine Learning: not a lot of people used it but ngl when it got value the 60 seconds did feel like a very long time but still didn’t warrant the nerf.Zanshin: even when they buffed it to show survivors that drop pallets I still barely seen people use it. It’s mainly only good on Phead since pre dropping is ok against him
Predator: No one used it but nurse and even now nurses don’t use it anymore and just opted back to nowhere to hide since it’s busted asf on her.
WGLF: helped counter slugging but apparently it was used to pick up survivors in the killers face (attack cd is 2.7 seconds and 150% wglf took 6 seconds to fully heal) so u would be able to down them before they even got the heal off. Wglf didn’t die off as hard as the others but the pick rate definitely went down a lot after the speed revert.I don’t know why they nerfed the perks so fast after them being out for only 2 weeks post buff.

I remember when Predator got buffed, players were complaining that it would "end stealth playstyles as a whole" yet Ive only seen it twice and both times it was only used by Nurse. Most players are not going to use it, there are just better options for Aura Reading.

So let's say I do my first gen kick of the match. Will I get Machine Learning's effects when that gen pops, assuming I didn't kick any other gen after that one?
My problem with the perk was that you had to kick a gen twice for it to apply, which was literally contrary to the perk's description. But I don't care enough to follow all its changes.

Because if you aren't running multiple slowdown perks you don't have time to use those other cool perks. Similarly on the survivor side, if you aren't running anti-tunnel perks, you don't have time to run anything else.

Yes, you only need to kick 1 generator now, you don't need 2 kicks anymore.
2 weeks after that buff the duration got reduced to 45 seconds, but even with that change the perk is still stronger than it was before.

Why did they nerf WGLF? I loved that perk and I could barely get value when I played it bc I could never loop long enough to then pick someone up

I don’t want to call anyone out but hens did make a video about wglf and inner focus giving perma wall hacks because someone with no mither and plot twist could down themselves over and over to give the person looping perma wall hacks with IF and another guy would use wglf on the guy plot twisting to have a infinite cycle. Guessing from the fact that hens is also a consultant, he probably told them it could be problematic and in bhvr fashion they reverted the speed buff instead of nerfing it to a reasonable number like 125 or smth. Otz also made a video with hens and jrm but it didn’t get released until post nerf but im sure they recorded it on stream so the devs must’ve known about it before hand.

which the inner focus+we're gonna live forever was not a strong combo for survivor because let's do some math here:
1 person has to be chased to benefit from wall-hack
1 person must heal another survivor to bring them up on the floor
1 person has to use plot twist+no mither.
that is 3 people doing 0 gens. you have more map pressure and game-delay than any gen defence possible in the game. I think the way your suppose to do this build is run No mither+Unbreakable+Plot twist+Boon:Exponential where you keep recovering manually with 150% speed while other 3 survivors have inner focus. you recover and than other player gets healed at 99% recovery to not consume plot twist. Still, even in the most efficient form of the inner focus build, the match is 3vs1.

A lot of things are nerfed and also buffed inexplicably. Some makes sense, others I cant understand and I don't think most of us understand either.
1
