Events should be more eventful.
This whole Bone Chill is so vanilla it could have just been placed in Standard Queue.

i love it. i get to have snowball fights and make snowmen! I get to be santa as the clown and then i let the good lil survivors escape while the naughty ones dont

I've only played about a dozen survivor games but yeah, I feel it's quite dull. I've only had 2 killers throw a snowball, including a farming Ghostface, but other than that it just feels like a standard game. My team mates alternate from not touching gens and just messing around with snowballs and snowmen (which is fun), to just focusing on gens and ignoring the event stuff (so business as usual).

I feel like it's not really interesting anymore in general: the skins are okay, the quests are weird especially because the first one for killer (I think?) is killing a snowman jumpscaring you with a snowball, the offering doesn't give too much of a boost and otherwise there isn't anything new or interesting.
Well at least my girlfriend is happy that the effects of the lobby, of the offerings and of the loadingscreen are so pretty, so I'm also happy with it xD

The serious players criticized each event, no matter how small, for messing up their normal games. The first addition of snowmen, without the snowballs, even had that reaction. Those players don't want any speck of non-standard gameplay touching the normal/standard queue.
I'm not trying to be negative on those people or how they enjoy the game. I'm just emphasizing that the separate event mode was added to keep any and all extra elements, no matter how small or vanilla, out of the normal game. Because that is what some players wanted.
I don't disagree with your basic premise, however. I would like to see events go all out. The separate queue means there's no longer any reason to hold back... unless maybe BHVR just really wants to get started on their holiday and not need to return to the office to tweak their experiments.

Fair point. 👍

Have to agree. This is the most vanilla event I've seen in a long time.

This event is lame. And people are just bringing meta stuff. Had a 3bnp game earlier...

people sleep on how many points you can get if you focus on snow-related stuff

And what would make the events more eventful?

The event's cool, I like it, but it does need more.
You know what I had a lot of fun with both sides? The Twisted Masquerade event this year. I REALLY loved having random changes as the game progressed, it was weird, it was quirky, it was fun.
Know what else I liked both sides? I liked Haunted by Daylight, when people bothered to interact with the Void and use the Void stuff. It was different, it was fun. It changed the gameplay. It gave us more to do.
Know what else I really liked? The Modifiers. Lights Out, Chaos Shuffle, and 2v8 are all more engaging experiences than Bone Chill. They brought new ways to play the game (co-op Killer vs. Frenzy, High Stealth High Horror, and Randomizer). Bone Chill does not.
Bone Chill needs MORE to do or an overhaul that truly makes it different and makes it stand out. Otherwise, it's just DBD with snowball fights and crappy snowmen that mess with your ability to do anything properly. And I feel pretty similarly about Blood Moon actually.
