Are high ping hits common again?
Are high ping hits common again or is it just me?
I kinda thought the problem with high ping hits had decreased over the last 1-2 years after it has always been a part of DbD since 2016 - unfortunately. But at least since the Bone & Chill event started, I eat high ping hits from killers now in nearly every match again. Are the servers just laggy or does the killer's client decide more and more again if it's a hit or not? I had a feeling you were finally able to fix this issue. But now it seems to be back … I notice that killers lag-teleport into my character after a lunge and they suck me in like Kirby, especially through obstacles and at vault locations.
I recorded some of them this week (don't mind the sound, I have some problems with my soundcard when I record something):

No, the issue are the servers. I usually have a really good ping and never had any problems with my ping but today I had really awful ping in the event between 70 - 180. Only my first match was good, the next two were also okay (some warning) but then the disaster happened. In the first match there was so much replacing, lags, rubberbanding, and fake hits that it just felt awful. The survivors had the same issue so it wasn't just me - I also checked some profil and they were from EU like me. In the next match I had a high ping of 70 but three survivors of 130 - only the fourth one had a normal ping (couldnot check the profil due to different platforms). The third match was the same and so awful that I had to dc because this drove me crazy to have the same issue three times in a row. I stopped playing after this because it makes no fun and I get headache from it. There is also not the crazy possibility that one map creates high ping (everything in dbd is possible) because I played in three different realms.

70 is no where near "high" ping. Human eye can't differ 70 ping or 40-50.
It starts to be noticed at 110+, the moment where you will start noticing a delay.
