Nurse should only have one blink charge (Rework idea)
I am a rare type of DBD player who hates playing as Nurse, but actually loves to play against her. That being said, Nurse has been by far the top killer since her release, and BHVR seems very confused about how to make her feel more fair to play against. I think to do this, Nurse doesn't actually need to be nerfed, but she DOES need to be changed in certain ways.
The main reason I like playing against Nurse seems to be the reason most people seem to dislike it. I like that she breaks the rules, by forcing survivors to adapt to a unique playstyle that doesn't revolve around looping. That being said, the way her power is now give her far too much leniency for her mistakes, and gives her a second chance to catch a survivor that outplayed her or won a mindgame. I think reducing Nurse to single blink would go a ways to resolving this issue, and I think said blink could be altered in a few ways to make up for a few shortcomings that could result from this.
Why do I think Nurse should have one blink? I strongly believe that one of the most annoying things when it comes to playing against Nurse is that she gets a free course-correction on a missed blink - making up for a skill issue, or completely negating a prediction or mindgame by a survivor. A nurse with a single blink would be forced to actually land her blinks, making good plays more difficult to achieve, and allowing for a greater degree of skill expression between low, mid, and high skill Nurse players - while also rewarding survivors who predict her well and encouraging unpredictable gameplay that (as a bonus) might leak into their other matches, making gameplay more unique in general, although this might just be wishful thinking.
Nurse's blink could be given several attributes to encourage interactive gameplay, and make up for some shortcomings that only having one blink would grant her.
Firstly, she could be given extra range. A long-ass blink would help Nurse significantly with map traversal, which she already struggles with in the game currently. Since ranged blinks are fairly easy to dodge when she only has one of them, I don't think this would impact survivors negatively in the chase respect. She could also be given blink-lunge range so it doesn't feel like you're missing unfairly when you land close to a survivor. To compensate for using this increased range to make distance on a survivor over traversal, you could have the blink take longer to recharge the further it goes, and/or;
Blinks recharge slower the closer the Nurse is to a survivor. Obviously, the closer the Nurse is the easier it is for her to hit her blinks, and the harder it is for a survivor to counter. I think we should lean into this interaction by encouraging the Nurse to go for longer shots and predictions by pushing her to make distance with the survivor at a loop, instead of trying to catch up, by giving her her power more often - going again for a unique playstyle and emphasising the use of positioning and game-awareness for both sides.
She could also be given an innovative add-on rework that isn't focussed on cooldowns, which is a pet-peeve of mine with this game. Her add-on to return to her original position could work really well with this change. Other add-ons could be used to actually compliment her power: perhaps a survivor's aura could be revealed for a few seconds after running through the Nurse's blink trail to tap into a common survivor play, or survivors who aren't crouched or performing an action can scream/become oblivious/blind/broken when in her terror radius after a blink.
Essentially what I want from Nurse is to lean into the part that makes her fun - the uniqueness of her gameplay - while doing our best to negate the aspects of her that make her particularly annoying. This is fundamentally not an attempt to 'nerf Nurse' or make her less strong, but rather and idea that I think would make her more FUN, to play against and to play as. The problem with strong killers in this game imo isn't that they're powerful, it's thta they have little counterplay beyond spreading out an pushing gens as hard as possible, which isn't fun for anyone. This rework would not only add more counterplay to the Nurse in chase, but makes her more interactive as a killer/survivor dynamic, and encourages a completely unique style of gameplay from both sides, which is something this game sorely needs, and could be the start of a greater push towards a more diverse gameplay experience.
If you guys have any other thoughts I'd love to hear about them. I love thinking up ways to make this game more fun, since I'm definitely feeling the staleness of it recently. I think I have more fun plotting how to improve the game than I do actually playing it, which is kind of sad - but if it keeps me in the community for a bit longer then I don't mind. Hopefully I'll be around to see them implement some good changes that turns it into the game I know it could be and it'll feel just like it did when I started. At the ends of the day, it doesn't matter how balanced the game is if it isn't fun, BHVR.

Nurse are fine if you are any good at survivor

only thing she needs is something like Blindness status effect while charging blinks to prevent her crazy synergy with aura reading perks like NTH and Predator. Otherwise, she's fine as she is
