Some ideas and discussion around stoppin one-sided games and helping the casual playerbase.
I am posting this from another thread because I feel this deserves a discussion of its own:
I feel like exhaustion being off CD should allow you to use Unbreakable but putting you into the exhausted state, it would go a long way for making the game more forgiving, just like 2v8.
Self care should also be added baseline so new players can make more mistakes akin to 2v8 also.
Killers need anti gen rush/momentum like Corrupt intervention/deadlock to give them more time to make mistakes. I'm sure people could come up with better ideas, but the base game needs help for newer players.
I love this game and I want it to do well, but rn everyones complaining about snowballing on either side and we need to point out that this is our largest issue that needs help. Games should be back and forth, it's a casual game. good players will be good regardless of how the game is.
What would you like to be changed to make the game more forgiving and fair for you? This game rn is way too fragile when it comes to a matches flow, perks are the sole thing we rely on to "Balance" our experience, via gen regression/anti tunnel, and we need some of this built in to help us, what 6.1.0 should have done in the first place… not basically haha BT and Base Chase buffs, they basically helped the game be more one sided.
Sorry for the long post. <3

yeah this game is terrible for new players I had my sister and friend both say they want to play dbd with me just to give up when they are expected to play well, know what to do with 38 killers all with there own counter play/ addon combos, keep up with patch notes, and metas not even mentioning the hundreds of perks. The only reason I was able to do it was because I was unemployed and had nothing better to do than watch videos talking about killers and what to do as/ against, best perks for each side, and look at the PTB . even if you get into the game there is so much history that dbd YouTubers reference like old metas, killer designs, etc. I think a extremely basic how to play/play against card for each killer would be something. Like for example
Myers
As killer: Try to hide behind obstacles like rocks for you can stalk survivors and reach tier 3 that lets you down people with basic attacks. Will in tier 3 you have a slight boost in vaulting.
As survivor: be aware of your surroundings and watch out from being stalked. When myers is in tier 3 try to stay out of sight.
Something basic like this would of helped my friend before he said f it and returned the game.
I think also categorizing the perks would be useful for new comers like Generator slow down, chase perks, aura perks, etc
