The stun is fine you are close enough of it to count and you can even see that the aliens tail is on top of the pallet so you are in front of it not "mile away". The reason why you can't break the pallet is the placement of the tunnel exit is preventing the break. I think it was reported before at some point but they have not got around of fixing it.

I was clearly far enough from the pallet to avoid being stunned, yet somehow I was still hit by it as the Xenomorph. After being stunned, I was able to walk toward the pallet, proving that I wasn’t close enough to be hit initially.

I intentionally stopped short of the pallet to react to the survivor’s actions. Whether they dropped the pallet or not, my plan was to either get a tail hit or lunge. However, despite being visibly far away, the pallet still stunned me.

This issue feels like a disconnect between the in-game camera perspective and hit detection. Either the camera view needs to better reflect the actual hitboxes, or the pallet stun range needs to be adjusted to match what the player sees. Right now, it’s frustrating and feels unfair, plain and simple.
