Killers complaints
As a killer, if you are complaining that you didn't get the 4k, think again. You are not entitled to a 4k just as survivors are never guaranteed an escape.
This is still a game and most people are playing to have fun.
As killer you earn the most blood points than anyone in the match, just by playing.
I play both killer and survivers, sometimes I win sometimes I loose the aim of the game is not to give you high blood pressure- it's meant for fun.
As a killer, I play with a personality- I don't tunnel, slug or camp, and if some or all the survivors escape then good or them- the entity will not kill the killer for loosing to survivors.
As a survivor, I prefer to play against killers with a personality: that game is fun that way and if I get sacrificed...I am happy I had a good time doing objectives and being chased.
As it is I always get more blood points as killer than survivors because even if some escape, I still get BP from chasing, hooking, breaking etc but as a survivor if I get Tunnelled without doing a single object what do I get; 7k blood points and I still loose the items I brought into the game.
Please I don't want to read any killer complaints

i am not entitled to win, yes.
But my opponents are also not entitled to me intentionally handicapping myself as much as possible in order to catter to their definition of fun and be called a "killer with personality" specifically because i'm making it as easy for my opponents as possible.
Btw, goofing off/playing with "personality" as the killer is fun for the first 10-20 games, after which it becomes gigaboring

a 4K should be the result of extraordinarily well played matches. Unfortunately they’re not and now too many people expect them as standard. As a result they’re finding ways to make it far too easy and imo that needs addressing.

I am seeing so many killer mains want to remove hatch from game. So they can get easy 4ks all time. Probably kill-rates will be around 80 - 90% without hatch escapes.
3 -
question goes: why do you want hatches to remain a thing?
They are outdated.
They encourage slugging for 4k.
They are completely RNG dependant (unless you use an offering).
You are basically acting like hatch removal is nothing but "nuh uh killer buff" and not health related QoL change. No problem, people can keep slugging for 4k, don't get mad if you don't want the core of problem to be fixed.

Bs
Killers keep getting nerfed and handicapped to cater to survivors, yet survivors can still exploit the very mechanics these nerfs were supposed to address. It’s ridiculous.
I’m sick of being held hostage by survivors refusing to do gens. Once, I was stuck in a match for over 40 minutes, and another time for 25 minutes, after i cleslry won and they decid to be petty and hide. If I disconnect, I get penalized and earn nothing, while survivors face no consequences whatsoever, but god forbid I kick a gen over 8 times.
Killers have just as much right to complain as survivors. No one’s entitled to anything in this game. I slug, proxy camp, and do whatever it takes to secure as many kills as possible. The only time I go easy is if I see a complete novice, and even then, it’s rare. I’m not here to ensure your enjoyment; I’m here to win.

"Player with personality" is a interessting way of calling people that are intentionally playing worse then they can. Also 90% of the people on any side don't have one then: "wow a survivor trying to sabotage constantly with background player - how original", "wow a survivor flash-lighting/-banging constantly annoying the hell out of me - even more original", "wow someone with ds, otr, dh and windows. Tbagging in the gate and dh out of the match - most ORIGINAL survivor ever". Most people just play to annoy you or win, it's just like that - I won't play easy on you for your fun, ether you win by outplaying me or you will lose, I won't just handicap myself for nothing.
Your problem is that survivors will lose even more then because we're are balancing that in both ways surely then, aren't we? Most matches have players that make mistakes constantly, problem is that they are worth nothing on maps like: eyries, the game, mothers dwelling, badham and so on - if you'd balance that they actually matter you'll see them lose even more, because killers mistakes are already punished heavely when survivors take the chance actually xD

I would say escape should be more rare than kill and so far devs seem to agree with that, when they want killrate to be 60% +/-.
I would find survivor boring, if it was expected for me to escape. Doesn't really make sense to put even more mental pressure on the killer when it is 1v4.
Killer should be stronger than survivors (have better chance), otherwise it is bully simulator.4K should be the result of extraordinarily well played matches
For it to be "extraordinarily", survivors need to be on same level as the killer based on skill, which is impossible for soloQ.

Slugging for 4k is another issue BHVR need to fix. And thankfully it's on their radar right now.

And how do you imagine 3v1 with 4 gens left in that scenario?
If survivors won't have any hope, they won't want playing this game and straight give up, because why bother?
It's the opposite - hatch needs to be more viable because right now killers can entirely deny it via slugging for 4k.
Survivors can see this pattern and just lose all willingness to continue playing bad match.
4 -
hopefully they fix it in the way where they won't look at constant complaining of one side about it <3
if hatch serves you as some kind of hope in a 3v1, you are already expressing a "no hope" losing mindset. You are basically implying on hatch as a some kind of consolation prize (which it isn't) that should be more viable to survivors.
Time for a reality check: mindset of average surv player needs to drastically change, yall are your own biggest reasons for losing.

Hatch isn't the reason why people slug for 4k. That's like saying cars cause carjackings, or laws cause crimes, or email causes phishing scams.
Slugging for 4k is possible because hatch exists, just like crimes can only exist if there are laws, carjackings can only happen if there are cars, and phishing emails can only go out if email exists.
But cars don't cause carjackings and laws don't cause people to do the things that are crimes, and email existing doesn't cause scammers to exist. In the same way, hatch doesn't cause slugging for 4k. Those things happen because of the motivation of the person taking those actions; they're looking for a certain result that they would seek even in the absence of cars or laws or emails or hatch. Slugging for 4k is possible because hatch exists, but hatch doesn't make people slug for 4k. Slugging for 4k is caused by people wanting an easy fourth kill.
And what would happen without hatch? Then when the third survivor is gone with at least one whole gen to go, there is essentially no hope for the last survivor to finish the gens and escape. But they still want to survive, so they'll often end up hiding for as long as possible. Hatch exists to prevent exactly that scenario: it's meant to give the last survivor a reason to keep playing and to avoid a long game of hide-and-seek at the end of the match. What do you want in place of hatch?

I would have argued with the other extreme: a desastrous early game. 1 dead and 4 gens left to go I would go to the killer to hook me else I would just go afk.
1 -
killers literally want to avoid hatch RNG scenario where 4th survivor would be able to escape thanks to lucky spawn of the hatch. Slugging for 4k completely removes the chance of hatch standoff, why did you even try implying to false equivalency when a mechanic that is literally a way for survivor to escape thanks to RNG is literally countered by forcing both of remaining survivors into a situation where hatch is impossible to reach?

What do you think would be accomplished if hatch was removed?
Let’s say hatch is gone and there are still gens to do. Last survivor will now hide for 20 years and you can’t start EGC.
Well, what if EGC starts at 1 survivor left? Killers would complain about the same thing - survivor being able to leave through gates by winning gate game or bringing sole survivor wake up.
Ok, what if EGC starts at 1 survivor left and no gates or hatch? The answer is that people will hide in 2v1, 3v1 etc at even higher frequencies than they do now.
All you are doing is removing the reason survivors have to not hide forever. If there is zero chance of escape in the 1v1, why hop on a gen and risk being found (and slugged) in the 2v1? In current game, I can hop on a gen and if I am found, I will get hooked or slugged and even though I might die, my teammate could escape. But if it’s a 2v1 at 4 gens, what incentive is there to do anything other than hide to spite the killer? The end result is always the same.
If this was a competitive game, I would agree with you, remove hatch unless survivors trigger EGC and make the spawn fixed. But this game is aimed at casual players like it or not, and in public matches it still prevents more hiding forever than it causes.

Killers complain because the game is so difficult for them but design. On top of that, they get gaslit hard. People like to throw around "broken killer stuff!" when their definition of "broken" doesn't hold up to any other game's standard. They'll call a killer perk or add-on broken if the killer plays as well as he can, he wins, but the match was still close. Wouldn't "broken" be not even finishing 1 gen and you're dead every match?
And all this talk of personality is in your head, and is hopelessly idealistic. When survivors all get out against you, they don't think "That sure was an honorable killer!" No, you're a baby killer, because they beat you, and so that's what they call you. Or if you beat them, whether you played nice or not, they'll find a way to call you a toxic no-fun killer. I'm one of the only people I know who sees my teammates complaining about the killer, especially insulting his character somehow, and I'm like, "Isn't he just playing the game normally?"
And the thing that marks you as a casual is your emphasis on blood points. Once you've got your characters and their perks unlocked for everyone, more BP is always nice, but you really shouldn't care about it that much. The killer getting more BP doesn't relate to anything in the match, and it's certainly not equatable to whoever played better. I see survivors say to each other and to the killer, "Me get more points. Me better than U." That's not how it works. And it's that lack of understanding that makes me question any and all complaints against killers. Killers have the most to complain about, although I find stuff like "Windows Of Opportunity OP!" to be pretty silly. It's survivors who have little right to complain, because they're usually so caught up in feelings and blood points and match results, that they're clearly not focused on improving or looking at the game from a balance perspective.

I doubt it. Survivor is pretty easy when played efficient. The escape rate now is horribly skewed by mismatches, and by people throwing the game improbably hard.
It's not that killers don't like a "closing out the game" mechanic. But hatch isn't it. Hatch says, "You randomly found this thing on the ground, press a button, and you get a free escape!" And if the killer gets to it first, both exits magically get powered anyway. So another free second chance to escape. Both of these things happen even if no gens were done. Hatch doesn't affect the survivors who were clearly winning already. It only helps out the ones who played bad and didn't deserve to escape. It's this game's ultimate participation trophy.
An endgame chase with respawned pallets and auto-opening exits after a certain amount of time sounds much more engaging.

Considering the snowball nature of the game, I don't understand the mindset that 4Ks should only come from (near) perfect matches. The killer starts worse off than the survivors in terms of power, and grows substantially with every kill. Why would a 4k be expected to be an outlier when it becomes exponentially more likely with each kill in an elimination based game? If anything 3ks should be the least likely outcome, but they get held up hard by hatch escapes. Which are still more luck than skill based.
1 -
Hatch should be removed, but it should be replaced with a skill based alternative instead of being a luck based extra chance. Whether it be by a direct contest of skill or a reward for the level of play presented in spite of one's team, it should be present when earned and absent when not. Likewise it should also be more guaranteed when earned instead of relying on luck of the draw and/or patrolling the most likely spawn points.
Its removal shouldn't make it any worse for survivors than it is, on the contrary it should more accurately reward survivors who don't give up while punishing those who do.

The simple answer is this: Because the game still says the only marker of whether or not you win is based on how many Survivors you killed in the round, just as it unfairly says the only marker of a win is whether or not you Escape.
But that has nothing to do with skill, effort, or rewarding good play. It doesn't reward a Trapper who played fair and got everyone to death hook but lost last minute. It doesn't reward a Nurse who chooses to be ultra fair and goes for spreading hooks. It doesn't reward a Ghostface who bothers to use his power, it doesn't reward someone for not being a jerk, and it doesn't reward Killers who just wanna play kindly because they know odds are stacked against Survivors.
The only people this system rewards are the most ruthless, brutal players who grind to Iri I every month both sides by bringing the sweatiest meta, strongest Killer, or most OP item in. And it leaves everyone else who wants a more casual feel in the dust.
We shouldn't have to feel like the only value in a round happens if we slug for a 4k. We shouldn't have to feel like we're failures if we get anything less than a 3k or an Escape through the gate. We shouldn't be encouraged to tunnel people out of the game early. We also shouldn't be encouraged to genrush to avoid those scenarios and stomp all over any Killer who wants to play nice. This game is intended to be a casual horror tag versus game. But the community, and the game itself, just does not treat it as casual, because only comp play is ever rewarded by the game AND the community both. We are told that winning is all that matters.
And that's the answer you're looking for. But I'm afraid it does not come without Killer complaints, because most people playing the game play both Survivor and Killer. Every complaint coming from such a well-rounded player is, by necessity, a Killer complaint. Please don't make this issue that affects everyone an us vs. them thing.
Because it really isn't.
