Do you think Freddy's rework will be nerfed because Survivors complained?

Well, time will tell, but they've definitely said they're doing something about it soon. Which I take to mean early this year.
I don't have information about Freddy, but afaik they didn't promise anything after his rework about 5 years ago. People were disappointed by the result, but I don't believe they ever promised to go back and revisit him on any kind of time table, nor did they make any measures that they said would be considered temporary at that time either.
I'm not sure why you have so much vitriol toward me in particular since I'm not a dev, just relaying what they told us before the recent sm nerfs. I'm on record as saying that they handled the recent nerfs poorly, but I also didn't have their exact reasoning as to why they thought a "break glass" solution was needed. I can speculate, but that doesn't mean they took the right course of action regardless or communicated it correctly either.

Freddy's healing teleport will 100% be disliked. Expecting teammates to play around the Dream World is a big ask in a world where people can't be bothered to solve Boxea or place turrets but I'll be happy to be proved wrong.

Yes, survivor mains seem to whine about everything nowadays, and since they're the majority then bhvr will likely listen

How is that strong? He even has a cooldown every time he cancels it, so it isn't true spam. If Freddy is faking teleport to a gen every time, you just ignore it until he spends too long holding it. Whether he commits to the tp or not, that's not good pressure. Maybe he gets lucky and it causes the last-second skill check to come up and the survivors blow up a gen. But that's all I see it doing. If Freddy is in chase with someone, and is multitasking by faking tp somewhere else, he should not get punished for that, because it's a smart play at the cost of splitting concentration off of chase. That plus counting hooks, remembering which pallets are broken, guessing what the other survivors are doing while unaccounted for... y'all act like there's no skill or brain power being used while multitasking, as if it's easy.
Anyway, if Freddy commits to the tp, he's pushing the person off the gen... but he left the person he was chasing. At best, he got a 1 to 1 trade on pressure, and for all he knows the person he's chasing, or a second survivor who was on the gen, can just come around and finish it after he pushed the initial guy off. Why would you handicap a killer's power so much when he's low tier, and it's not even that effective?
And it may seem like I'm calling his tp strong and weak at the same time, but that's what you call "decent" in this game. A middle ground. Most people just like to call a killer thing OP if it's decent or usable, and I think that's what's happening here. It's why 90% of killers in this game can't be used at top level. They could have been, but people just want to cry about half-decent stuff until it gets nerfed. You will never see Freddy in S tier (even if ad populum dictated that he was in the past), so why all the pushback against him keeping any of his original strengths?

He has a severely reduced cooldown if he cancels the teleport, and there really isn't much of a warning between "he stopped at 99%" and "he went to 100%". It's by far the most annoying thing this killer does, and due to the fact that he's gotten a heavily buffed teleport in the PTB, he can afford to lose the teleporting cancelling as compensation.
Teleport canceling never should have gotten such a heavily reduced cooldown, and if it ever comes back, then it should trigger a full cooldown.

If I recall correctly, there were actually some developments with Freddy after his rework.
For instance, the nerf which deleted the infamous Forever Freddy build wasn't a surprise, it had already been announced before it reached live servers.
And, I do believe I saw a discussion here months ago that claimed Freddy's rework had been planned for a while, but didn't receive priority. I am not sure about this one though, it could be just a theory (A GAME THEORY).
If it is true, however, then it makes the situation even more tragic, because Freddy could have received something much better than this horrible "rework" we've just received.

Based on past PTB to live releases, you'll have to forgive me if I don't quite believe you.
