Please reconsider, give us an add-on that lets us play as old² Freddy
Let us play as old² Freddy by making a meme add-on that does so! It should be quite simple to make:
- Survivors cannot see the Nightmare while awake. (You could just reuse old Pill Bottle's code to make this)
- Survivors are Oblivious while awake and hear Freddy's Lullaby, while asleep they hear his Terror Radius. (simple switcharoo)
- The Alarm clocks no longer grant sleep immunity but instead just increase the time before you fall asleep.
- The Nightmare cannot damage Survivors while they're awake.
You can put Survivors to sleep with Dream Snares or Fake Pallets, they passivelly fall asleep and the Clocks have been taken care of.
I love the reworked Freddy, don't get me wrong, but I also loved the old² Freddy, but that Killer is gone forever, unless a change like this happens, so please, consider adding an add-on like this <3

Isn't there that one add-on that is completely terrible because he only has 1 snare and is stationary for a couple seconds? Let's make this add-on the one where you can play old freddy

I got a better idea. Keep blue dress the same but buff it to how it is to play current freddy by being able to have 5 down. Like how it is rn. I like current Freddy kinda and would love to play it with pallets. My suggestion is to make unicorn block and wool shirt basekit and turn unicorn block into current dream pallets that replace rupture pallets. And change wool shirt to be the meme addon to be able to play as old Freddy like you wrote. That way you can play every version of Freddy.

I think if they made Snares put people to sleep faster than default, it might be a workable compromise? Like if you ran the addon and you hit a Survivor with a Snare, they'd fall asleep in a couple of seconds instead of having 30s removed from their timer.
Having to put people to sleep with a projectile instead of a beam might be a bit weird, but I can't really think of a way to put the "dream beam" into the kit alongside all of the other things.
It'd add the clear boundary between awake and asleep that was part of what made Old Freddy so unique, but you'd still be missing the info component which was another major thing. Maybe if it had Paint Brush's new effect as well. Having to run 2 addons every game (1 being ultra rare) to bring back a semblance of my favourite killer would suck.
Also I'd love it if they could find a way to reuse the old screaming particles when you put a Survivor to sleep, those were extremely cool:
I think a combination of our suggestions might bring back a similar feeling that the original kit had. The feeling of being in your own distinct domain which you had total watch over anyone who you pulled in was 75% of what made Old Freddy my favourite killer.

I fully agree to implement Old Freddy into add-ons. I hope the Devs implement this in some way. Your post shows people are interested in having an option to play Old Freddy. My post suggests invisibility outside 8/16 meters to awake survivors as an iridescent add-on, but your way is more 1:1.
