A suggestion on how to make the experience more enjoyable for new players.
So as we all know, the game is probably going to get a huge influx of new players with the Five Nights at Freddy's Chapter this summer. What I'm worried about is that a huge portion of those players might get frustrated with the lack of explanation the game gives for certain mechanics, as the tutorial is really lackluster. I think there needs to be a special focus on providing a better tutorial in time for the anniversary this year.
Personally, my suggestion would be to add a new tutorial tome with two pages that's automatically selected for new players. The current tutorial explains repairing gens, unhooking, and healing, but doesn't offer much in the way of teaching survivors how to handle a chase with the killer.
I also think adding a sort of "gauntlet" that quickly trains players in the counterplay against certain killers would be helpful. Maybe having the tutorial tome have special challenges that are split into 3 or 4 rooms, and each one focuses on the counterplay for a different killer. You could even reward shards at the end of the tome to give them a choice of a character
Having either The Observer or Trix (or maybe even Observer for Survivors and Trix for Killers) narrate the tutorial would also take away from the repetition of reading text on a screen the whole time!
Also, the original version of DBD Mobile came with opening cutscenes that explained the lore of the game, considering the lore gives no clear entry point, these could be repurposed as cutscenes for a tutorial tome!!

I like the idea of some basic tutorials for chase.
At the very least a time trial where you start off injured and have to survive 1 on 1 vs. a bit for 20 seconds, 40 seconds and then 60 seconds.
20 seconds would be all that is required to pass the tutorial, but you have the other 2 there for additional rewards.that players can practise.
Extra points of you get to pick your killer bot.

The tutorial should be 100% improved.
Also, there should be descriptions of all killer powers in the game manual or somewhere else in game.

I'm all for better tutorials, but I don't think learning the game is the biggest issue facing new players. It's the playerbase that will scare them off. This game has a lot of unstrained mechanics, and the playerbase knows how to use those to make everyone else miserable.
Think of the worst scenarios that existing players already have to deal with. Now imagine new players dealing with that. So far, 2025 is shaping up to be the year of the slug. That's gonna be a fantastic welcome for FNAF fans this summer. Now try to imagine BHVR fixing all of the game's biggest weaknesses in like six months. I think we're screwed lmao.
