Are Flashbangs becoming an issue?
The audio queue doesn't matter if the survivor knows the timing and with the split queue I'm getting Flashbang users EVERY SINGLE MATCH in normal queue.
This thing is uncounterable even with walls and Franklin and sweep takes too much time.
Do I have to put Lightborn in my build for every single game now?

They are not problem, they are very much counterable.
I heard there is a bug with them, so maybe that's the problem.

Flashbangs in itself are fine. The Bug that they are silent sometimes needs to be fixed tho.

Flashbangs don’t bother me other than the bug where they don’t make any noise. That’s annoying and needs fixed ASAP.

As far as I know the bug it's only for the sound queue of survs dropping it that's not playing.
My point is that even with or without the bug Flashbangs are 100% uncounterable if dropped at the exact time. No walls, no Franklin to make them drop it…0 -
100% uncounterable
Situational awareness, baiting the pickup, and "looking up" are base kit.
Lightborn is a hard counter to this, so is infectious fright. They're also not paid dlc. Pick any of the 40 or so aura reading or screaming perks you choose.

As a survivor main and flashbang enjoyer myself I will say they are actually unfair in some situations, particularly when a killer faces a wall to pick up but you still get the save. That makes them pretty much unavoidable without Lightborn and that should never be a thing.
The sound bug just makes them even more unfair

Everything in a video game should have counterplay and flashbang, background player has very little.

even with BGP you have to be very close to the killer to make it in time if they’re facing a wall, you can bait the pickup and chase.
There’s also Lightborn if you don’t want to bother with gamesense and you will never have to worry about flashbangs again.
The devs agree that flashbang is not an issue also due to it being limited as a resource, which is why they intentionally left the ability to flashbang save locker grabs and grabs from wesker’s dash.

There is a problem with sound cocclusion, making flashbangs being dropped silently. This is the primary issue, people have with them and rightfully so. Its awful, getting blinded from something you had no time or clue top react to. Even worse when you are carrying someone.
It has already been posted in the bug report section as far as I know and its a mystery to me, why it hasnt been fixed yet. This is not something new.

As soon as they are not silent behind corners anymore and we fix the bug you can drop it inside the killer they are fine. It's just those two that are a little bit annoying xD

I usually dont have a problem with Flashbangs - only when the sound is missing. And this also happens on the Killers side. And this needs to be fixed. But other than that, I dont see an issue with Flashbangs.

I don't even know if firecrackers are supposed to make a sound when dropped.

I did wonder why every man and his dog was using flashbangs all of a sudden. I noticed a huge uptick in my games. I guess this is why?

My only complaint is moreso the people gaslighting about it. "Just look at the wall and you will be fine" which is not the case with Flashbangs. The actual way to deal with them is to force the player far enough away and try to pick up facing away from them. So they don't have the time to get it off. Obviously very hard with some perks like BGP and teammates but if 2 survivors are teaming up to try to force a FB save on a survivor on the floor I have 3 people off gens so win for me.

The killer's collision being turned off is also a bug that affects flashbangs
0 -
I've encountered a couple of flashbang teams burning indoor map offerings specifically to exploit the audio occlusion bugs

It doesn't make any sound and sometimes it penetrates even when facing the wall. When will this condition be corrected?
0 -
Is that a confirmed bug or just something we consider one?
0 -
It shouldn't be a surprise considering grunts of pain also used to be broken (silent) for a long time at multiple points.
0 -
The fact that you can locker save with them is also an issue, honestly. It was an issue with beamers and it shouldn't be a thing with bangs either.

And losing collision when dropping the flashbang.

Bypassing the killer's collision is a bug.
0 -
Well, it's not really a bypass if it happens by default. You don't need a flashbang to phase through. That's what I am asking about.
0 -
By default, killers have collision when they pick up a survivor. The bug is that survivors are allowed to bypass this collision.

they blind you even if they explode behind you :)

I just run Lightborn on every build and laugh maniacally at people failing multiple flashbang saves every game.

The audio and angles it can sometimes blind you at are kind of insane. I think it needs to be technically reviewed.

BHVR has known about this issue for a while, claimed they fixed it, didn’t fix it, has offered no explanation about why they said it was fixed even though it wasn’t, has offered no timeline for actually fixing it, and on top of that won’t kill switch even though this bug is being exploited en masse. The way they are handling this is simply inexcusable. But I guess they can get away with doing nothing about it as long as people keep playing the game.

the people here who saying that flashbangs are counterable is why devs sshouldn't listen to the community
You can't just look up during a flash bang save unless they're so bad that they somehow miss the timing
Walls don't work and if they did nobody would say flash bangs cant be countered
They have 600 audio bugs associated with them so you constantly have to be looking up 24/7 while carrying a survivor to hook lest they silently drop one because the chase music was playing or they dropped it behind a wall
The amount of times i've been blinded turning a corner because a survivor had 0 indication he dropped a flashbang or fire cracker is insane, esp during chase
THE ONLY counter is lightborn
It's not a killer skill issue to not be able to avoid flashbangs
It's a survivor skill issue if they miss

Do you mean when a killer picks up a survivor the other survivor with a flashbang loses collision with the killer?
Might explain what happened to me. I had my back to this David while picking up another survivor. All a sudden the David was in front of me dropping a flashbang. I did scratch my head because I was picking up in a opening to a loop and was confused how he got in front of me when I was blocking the way past. He had no time to run around the walls to get in front and he didn't have Background Player.

The sound bug at this point is actually annoying. Recently I hadn't noticed that a survivor I hit had a flashbang and they threw it down when I hit them as I was carrying a survivor. Since the bug happened, I didn't look up so the survivor got out. It's gotten to a point where it's giving survivors an unfair advantage because it will happen at least once if not more during a match. This next comment will annoy a lot of survivors and I'm not here to start another conversation, but I think that bug has made a lot of killers start to slug more than they usually would. Heck the bug has become prevalent enough that I'm starting to see people with flashlights run the perk because they know it's a guaranteed save if done right and the thing is, they have the timing down so it's almost always done right.

Lightborn is the way, my friends!

Yes, flashbangs have a bug where they can remove killer collision when the killer is in the pickup animation.

Wow!
So many replies! Thanks guys! 😁
I didn't knew about this collision bug! So Flashbangs SHOULD BE countered by walls.
That should be the reason I'm seeing it more frequently.
Also some here suggested perks to counter them, but that's my point. Having to sacrifice a slot just because of these damn bombs…
To finish I would like to bring to light again my point (that was mentioned by a few people here) that if the surv time it right you can't look up. The exact moment you would be able to the bomb explodes, so nothing that can be done indeed if timed right.0
