Apparently this isn't considered a bug

If you check out the link, the report was about killer belongings like sadako's TV spawn and xenomorph tunnel spawn doesn't spawn by next to gens during an event or the use of an offering to add extra chest thus creating issue

And apparently this isn't counted as a bug but a feature instead

    Yep its been that way since plague / pig, which is why it was kind of a meta move as plague (but not pig) to bring coin offerings to decrease the amount of chests increasing how close their objectives spawn by generators, pig on the other hand preferred more chests because that usually meant the boxes spawned more spread out.

    Its not really a great mechanic then again neither is sadako teleporting 7 times while my clueless solo teammate sits on a gen next to an active tv and dies at 5 gens so I don't really mind it.

    I've seen the more skilled Sadakos get more TV value cutting survs off and zoning than going directly after the gens.

    Its hard to say when they will address this. I hope in the future they will be able to add more features sooner.

    If I were to guess there's probably only so many potential spawns for chests on a map so bhvr would have to account the maximum potential of chests that could spawn on a map and if there was a situation where there are too many chests and not enough places to spawn it'd probably break the game in some weird, unforseeable way so it's just easier to move the killer props out more to make the space. That's my GUESS on it so the solution would have to be go over the maps again, add in more spawn points for chests/killer props and maybe go over light geometry changes so nothing's not spawning inside of rocks/walls/etc. Whether or not it's worth the work is a different question.

    Edit: Just adding in some extra but most maps have 3 chests as default, add on 4 shiny coins, the 2 bonus chests from hoarder and having a Sadako play the match so throw in 8 tv's and that's like what. 21 spots needed on a map in order to keep everything in place? Throw in stuff like gen spawns to account for, totem placements, hook placements and I can imagine how tricky things get at that point.

    By no means I'm trying to excuse bhvr for not taking action on it. I'd love them to do so but it's probably a rather complicated situation to sort out.

    Doesn't matter that this is an issue absent from the regular game, or that it clearly has an effect on certain lower played killers that might struggle during the mode. Doesn't matter that the situation is almost certainly an unintended result of a few intentional changes made to the trials for the event like chest spawn offering. Doesn't matter that in practice most players will think and play around this scenario as if it were a bug.

    There's technically not a technical mess up, just a few stacking mechanics having a weird effect, so nothing. Gameplay be damned, not a bug.

    It definitely should be the case that Sadako, Alien and Plague item spawns shouldn't be misplaced by chests. The balance of killers powers should be prioritised over chest spawns. Although she benefits, Pig boxes shouldn't either, cause that swings the opposite way against survivors.

    This point is made stronger by the possibilities for chest spawns. With how BHVR have been trying to add perks to make chests and loot/counter loot builds better in general, and how the playerbase has by and large shifted against offerings, it should not be possible to make between 2 and 13 chests spawn. That is a very wide divergence of items to manage for any hope of game balance.

    I mean it requires Survivors and Killers to have perks and offerings to get there but... 13 chests with Human Greed for example? That sounds pretty busted as aura reveals go... especially in the case of Pig.

    You need to do one or the other... prioritise killer item spawns, or drastically reduces the potential chest spawns to much more standardised amount.

    If neither, it would be nice to have unique spawns for chests, given how large a number of them there can potentially be. After all there are those chest spawns in basement, which of course all the other items can't spawn in, that's likely some exception that has to be written in, so that would be a good cleanup of the code as well.

    It would also make chest perks more sensible for survivors, as I've often felt the baseline should be 4 survivors, 4 chests and a bonus 1 chest in basement.

    Chests need a cleanup in general.

    Play nemesis and Wesker during the event as protest since they are the only killers positivity affected by this "feature"

    As nemesis even if you prevented a single spawn you already got the purple addon for free

    As Wesker use the iri to get to world saturation even faster

    Make the strategy mainstream so the devs are forced to do something about it

    Separate them, killer items spawns at precise locations (next to gens for Alien and Sadako) like they were meant to be. Chests can be relocated to better places.

    Yeah, it's probably a lot of work to separate them and create a second spawn list but it's a definitive solution that will simplify everything in the future.

    It always worked like that and it was pretty obvious, that it was intended that way. Should it get changed for xeno and Sadako? - Yes, but it should stay like it is on the other killers. It is only a disadvantage for Sadako and xeno.

    I know how bad this feels as Sadako main, but this doesn’t change the fact, that something is not a bug only because you don’t like it. It was probably just an oversight from a time where killer power objects didn’t require a specific location and now they don’t want to change it.

    I've been playing Sadako the entire event and this makes sense why the event queue seems to be harder than the regular queue despite the random perks, because TV placement is botched as #########.

    Why hasn't this been fixed?

    Literally they closed the bug report discussion and removed comments due to the complaint it has
