I miss old chucky and onryo
Sadako and good guy were amazing until behaviour devs robbed their power and addons. Thank you survivors for complaining now I'll never get to enjoy playing against them because I never see them again.

Sadako is not bad killer, i am playing her time to time. But the only viable way to play her is hit & run sadly.
Chucky however… He feels really powerless and bad. BHVR nerfed him to ground. I am hoping he will get changes with upcoming march chapter update.

Hi, I am a Sadako and Chucky player. They're not my mains but I play them both a fair bit (both prestige 25 atm).
The Sadako rework (both of them) were 100% necessary. Original Sadako was extremely weak unless you did the obnoxious Slugako strat. Sadako 2.0 was one of the most easy, flowcharty, and braindead pubstompers I have ever seen in any game, that was also really annoying to play against (if you think it was "just interact with tapes" you never played against one who knew what she was doing). She's perfectly fine now, she's a macro play killer which requires some actual thought from the Sadako to play well, no longer as weak as she was when she launched.
Original launch Chucky was also not okay. After they got rid of original scamper, he was still the easiest to play top tier in the game. His short size mindgamed at loops for him, his pseudo-stealth aspects made him difficult to play against in solo queue, and his power was ridiculously hard to dodge bordering on you needing to hope the Chucky was bad more than you actually could dodge it reliably. And then if he used Rat Poison, what little bit of counterplay his power had was reduced even further.
The second nerf Chucky got was excessive but people really overstate how bad he is now. He's no longer top tier for sure but he still does more than fine against average survivors.

I almost bought Chucky and his wife cosmetic because they looked like so much fun while watching someone play him next to me.
But I knew they would break it, it was just too much fun to play with.

Same here. He's the only killer I don't own. Chucky still breaks my heart as he was the one killer my friend enjoyed, and my friend only got to play a handful matches as Chucky before the nerfs. So, not only does he miss what Chucky used to be, but he feels like he flushed his money away since he got so little playtime out of the chapter.

chucky is in an okayish spot but his scamper feels kinda useless now since survivors can run left or right after vault and he cant turn enough to do anything

They should have kept Sadakos kit in 1.0 but with todays buffs and she would be perfect.

I miss them too, but I also understand why they were changed and don't want to go back to those times in the game's history.

i miss 10 second cooldown Chucky and 2.0 Sadako. Now they're only good for pub-stomping weaker players.

Sadako 1.0 yes I do miss how she was, sadako 2.0 I for sure don't
I'm really hoping she would get some proper buffs to feel more better to play

What was something you liked about sadako 2.0 besides being a strong killer

more decision making, focused more on macro play. center more around being observed around the map and survivor routing.
everything you don't need in 3.0. no decision making is required. you see tv, you teleport. Observation has no relevancy. survivor takes tape out of TV, they will deliver the tape. you have 0 capacity to stop them. Macro play is irrelevant as no one has condemn stacks except for the people that lock-in hooked. memorizing condemn is meaningless. by the time they're condemn, they're 2nd stage.

Sadako 1.0 Was harder to play because she had less tools at her disposal (if you didn't use ring drawing and iri tape)
I'd whish they'd changed her addons more. Then we would have actually interesting ones and not just 5 viable ones.
Old iri tape was a hindrance to her overall kit due to its strength. Ring drawing was straight up unhealthy. Both had to change. As someone that has maimed this killer since she came out, I'm happy to never see these two addons return to their former versions.
Sadako right now needs some tweaks still, but is undeniably better than 1.0 and healthier than 2.0.
I enjoy playing her.
In regard to chucky: I still don't understand why window scamper had to be removed when the pallet one was the only problem. I'd also whish for the flicks to make a return.

I loved sadako 1.0 because i only use her for stealth mechanics and actualy still win, without tunneling/slugging the whole team/spamming tvs for instakills. Now she just spams tvs for instakills in every round instead of being a fun stealth killer to play against. And playing as her i feel like i shouldnt teleport too much to avoid being seen as a spammer.
As for chucky i remember being able to loop him an entire game without getting hit even when he could scamper under pallets without dashing and through windows. He wasnt that bad, the only hard part of looping him i found was his size and on/off switch of his red stain. So i was surprised when they nerfed him.

Which version of Sadako are you referring to—the one that was briefly buffed and people were abusing the condemn power process, or the earlier version?

I already thought everyone forgot about Sadako. It’s really nice to see, that someone brings her up again.
For Sadako I don’t know, which version you mean. I loved playing the first version as more chase oriented and stealth killer. She once was my favorite killer before the reworks. Sadly the devs decided to nuke the fun playstile and made her a boring/unfun condemned spam killer. 2.0 and 3.0 have the almost the same flaws and it’s sad behavior won’t bring her old glory back. The good things from the reworks were the anti pallet stun, improved numbers and lock in condemned, if they had put those things into her first version, we would have a perfect killer.

Chucky’s release version was a lot more fun and interactive. I miss my old friend. The second version was just spam slice and dice, hit repeat and down. I really wished they just nerved scamper a tiny or removed scamper into slice and dice. Chucky’s lost its identity after they removed scamper and he just became another dash killer.

This is why I'm afraid to buy anything from Bhvr. You could find something fun like a survivor perk or a killer's power then all of a sudden, they decide to completely change it or nerf it to oblivion.
I know they have the right to do anything with it but it feels wrong when you learn and enjoy something then it gets forcefully pulled out from your hands.

I don't miss old Sadako, her current iteration is fine and I still enjoy playing her. But Chucky on the other hand? Good lord he sucks these days, even if he isn't technically weak he just feels awful to play generally now. Outside of running meme addons that let you slice n' dice across the map during endgame he's honestly got nothing going for him anymore these days. His power sucks, his perks are mostly bad and his addons are all boring stat adjustments. No variety whatsoever.

It's wild that anyone can unironically say Chucky is bad and Sadako is fine. What a bizarre world we seem to be in.
As bad as Chucky might be right now, Sadako is still WAAAAAAAY worse than he is.

Apparently this opinion is insane but I honestly think Sadako is a mostly fine killer who needs some minor tweaks whereas Chucky is pretty awful in his current state.
Sadako has solid map pressure with TVs and the trick of balancing condemned and hooks is a unique mechanic no other killer has. There are a fair few addons that need changing, and if I remember right she needs the kind of changes they gave Dredge where the passive noises he makes should be lessened so stealth strats actually work, but her kit is mostly functional.
Chucky's ability was basically cut in half by removing manual scamper and buffing Slice and Dice, and then it was determined that was then too powerful so they nerfed it and the cooldown buff that was his only boon after losing Scamper. Now half his add-ons are based around using scamper in ways he can't physically use it, Slice and Dice feels extremely sluggish to use. He's a killer whose entire kit has been stripped with no real regard for giving him anything else to use.
As a 110 killer without a ranged ability, Chucky doesn't have the luxury of taking regular chases the same way a lot of characters do. He's meant to excel at mind games and surprise attacks, but they removed tactics meant to compliment that playstyle like Manual Scamper, and bent him into relying on Slice and Dice for everything.
