The Amanda's Letter add-on for The Pig has been Kill Switched due to an issue with incorrect RBT count.

Things BHVR need to address before the FNAF chapter
Slugging, griefing, and bug fixes. New players won't stick around after getting slugged for 4 minutes or being bodyblocked in a corner by teammates/killers, they'll just uninstall and move on to a different game. Hens and Scott Jund recently made a video talking about this.

I agree. There's a few things they REALLY need to get a handle on before FNaF:
- Bugs and optimisation need to be the number 1 priority in my opinion. The game has been a disaster since the UE5 upgrade and desperately needs some TLC. Perks, items, add-ons, cosmetics, heck even entire killers (Houndmaster) just don't work properly and it's very frustrating. If I picked up the game as a new player today, I'd probably refund it given how buggy it is.
- New player experience. I don't know how exactly they're going to address this but the new player experience in this game is horrible. Like actually horrible. Of the 10 people I used to play DbD with, only 1 of them still plays. Most of them found the game too difficult and gave up before reaching 100 hours.
- And yeah, the griefing needs to go. About 1/3 of my matches end up ruined. Either a survivor gives up, or the killer decides to turbo tunnel at 5 gens. Sometimes both. It's not pleasant right now.
I'm really glad some big names are talking about this because as a community we've been asking for improvements for years and it feels like the progress has been glacial. Really, really hoping DbD gets its act together before FNaF. And if it doesn't, then I hope the resulting fallout will inspire prompt action.

The only way to fix slugging is to incentivise hooks again, currently hooking powers up survivors (second chance perks or saves on pick up) whilst slugging creates just as much pressure without wasting as much time. We did this as a community we complained about gen defense and aura perks so they made them not worth running.

I couldn't agree more. The real question is, at what point do the developers finally make some meaningful changes to the core mechanics of the game? The 2016 version of DBD does not work anymore in 2024. Especially for Survivor… It's stale, boring, lame, dull, and not unique enough. Take a damn chance BHVR.. Stop playing it so safe.. People want more to do in the game on the Survivor side. When I say that. ALTERNATE WIN CONDITIONS is the first thing that comes to mind.
Generators are boring.. Simple as that.. Put alternate win conditions in this game. You even removed the Hatch from being seen until there is a single Survivor left? WHY? At least it gave people an ALTERNATE WAY to play the game. Different paths to victory. Perks barely add diversity because all Survivors can just use every perk. Every Survivor feels the same. Add unique traits to the characters. Make Dwight feel like he has something that Felix doesn't. ANYTHING… That's why the Killer side of the game is more interesting, the Killers are……wait for it…..unique…(to a certain extent). Wraith feels a lot different than Trapper even though they slice the same. The cloak puts an entirely different spin on the Killer game play as opposed to Trapper.
What about Survivor though? Well, once you play one you've played them all. You can talk about different perks until the Sun comes up, but the Survivor game play only got more interesting once you added the End Game Collapse. Make more changes like EGC. Give us alternate ways to do the Generators as well as alternate ways to escape the trials. Gens……………Gates….is so boring… I feel the simplistic yet hard to master nature of Survivor makes the experience feel very tedious to newer people, which is why they don't stick around very long.. The actual depth of the game play to someone who isn't into horror is lost after the first few games of playing Survivor.
Give us something more. Use what you have and keep adding to it. Different modes is a start, but they don't mean anything in the long run as different modes are EXPECTED in games these days, and for DBD even different modes are LIMITED EVENTS???! Like…what? Get out of your comfort zone before something forces you to.

They have to improve the tutorial asap. It's outdated. They should also have detailed explanations of each killer power in the game manual. The fact you have to go to the DbD wiki to get a clear image is concerning.
They should also make a change to the MMR so it also takes your actions in the trial into account.

If FNAF really is this Years Anniversary Chapter (They just said "Learn more in Summer 2025") then i also have a really bad feeling about the Chapters Potential. It's THE Chance to make DbD immortal. DbD managed to get the FNAF Licence. Not even Fortnite or Smash Bros could get to that Licence.
There is no other Chance like this to get more Players into DbD then this (Maybe a Fortnite x DbD Collab, but still)
If possible I would love to see the FNAF Chapter getting pushed back and having as many Quality of Life Updates as possible before the Chapter releases. People overall would love this and the Decision would go viral.

Put yourself in the shoes of a new player and think;
You just bought the game, you have almost nothing unlocked (so no DS, Unbreakable, OTR etc) and in your first few games you end up dead just as quickly than the time you waited in lobby because the Killer tunneled you out at 5 gens. And basically everytime you manage to be one of the last two Survivors alive, you end up slugged for minutes at a time just so the Killer can get his Finisher Mori that the devs thought was a good idea to implement this way.
You don't have time to learn anything, you don't have time to improve, you twiddle your thumbs for 4 minutes in most games where you lose at the end, and eventually some people won't want to improve because they'll get sick of it.
This will in turn result in two things: either they drop the game or they start playing Killer the same way they had to deal with, continuing the cycle.
Tunnelling is not griefing per-say (although it sometimes can be a form of it if used to target specific people out of spite from the start) but it's not fun and absolutely ruins the new player experience (granted it's not the only thing but it's one of the big ones).
