Have To Wonder How the 400% Bonus is Doing

I just feel like BHVR shot themselves in the foot with this. Regardless of what mode you're playing, if you play survivor you get a 400% bonus? How does this help 2v8 queues exactly. Like if I was a hardcore survivor main, killer doesn't interest me even with a friend, I just want to play survivor, I'd see this and be like "400% bonus for existing in 1v4? Say no more!" Like I have to wonder if that actually is helping at all. I know it's mainly there to make people switch off of killer in 2v8, but then why is it there in 1v4 at all if that's the case? If your main focus is to get people to stop playing 2v8 killer, or at least get enough people off of it. I feel like this is going to make the results in the morning very interesting to see because I am curious if having this bonus on both survivor queues actually did something or if it did not that much or nothing like I'm predicting it will.
Edit: The results are interesting from the experiment (yes I'm aware it's an experiment people trying to explain to me that it's not permanent and an experiment, I know my wording was bad), although I am curious is the reduced wait time for killer a reduction from the previous reduction so it went from 18 minutes to 15 down to 12? I'm assuming that's the takeaway, but clarification is nice. I'm glad they're fully removing the bots because omg were they horrid for both sides. I didn't even think about the dc/lobby dodging issue and how that was also being tested with these changes. I thought the changes made in the name of queue time science were going to be bad and the weekend was going to be wasted on a nothing, but the results actually were pretty good.

Theres been a huge difference. I can actually play killer with normal que times in the evening, definitely not the case before they made these changes. Most survivors are playing streamers and anniversary cakes which is nice, along with more motivated and eager teams that don't throw the game and dc at the start of the match.
I kinda wish they would just keep it like this permanently. I can't really tell if the que times for 2v8 were improved but there's a tremendous improvement to 1v4.

I don't know why they did the 400% on 1v4 but the 400% incentive has my playing Survivor 2v8 for the BP. Matches are much faster and you'll likely leave with more BP than 1v4 given you're almost guaranteed to be getting significantly more objective category points by working on generators together.
I use Medic and save everyone until I'm max in Altruism, then I go do co-op generators.
I know you can't bring cake offerings in 2v8 but given how fast the Matches go, win or lose, I find it much quicker to get BP in 2v8.

Most likely because the first time they had 400% incentive only on 2v8, which resulted in the queues still being long, since there were still not enough Survivors, but 1v4 also having long queues, because 400% was enough to pull them to 2v8. Now they provide 400% Bonus to both queues.
This will also help to determine if people play 2v8 because of 2v8 or because of the incentive. And currently it looks more like they did this during the first 2v8 because of the incentive.

Blood points are not enough to get people to play a miserable and very weak role in a video game. Not sure how long this experiment must be done.

I think they maybe want to know which mode Survivors really prefer to play if given the choice between the two (in other words, is 2V8 actually fun?).
If only 2V8 had the 400% bonus, they might conclude that at least some Survivors are only playing the mode for the incentive and not because they enjoy it. Yes, you can bring BP offerings in 1V4 but I think my average BP earnings in 2V8 are 5-10K better, so the difference in what I might earn is probably not that great.
Personally, I've not touched 1V4 Survivor at all since 2V8 started. Despite my issues with 2V8, it can still be a lot of fun and offers up a different enough experience from the main game to keep me playing. I won't lie though, those incentives are definitely working to keep me playing Survivor.

I'm not too fussed about the bp. I'm currently playing 2v8 though because it's easy to get alot of the older, more time consuming tome challenges done fast in this mode. I'm sure I'm not the only one doing this. I doubt that sort of stuff will show in their stats though lol it'll just come off as the incentive working

It feels nice to play with 400% bonus and it does help a bit to make me want to play few Survivor matches in 2v8, however I still mostly try to play killer since that is just more fun and the unique part of the event (mostly).

The point is gathering data to be able to determine how to properly please players to play survivor in 2v8, that's why these are being tested in both modes
