Please Fix Haddonfield.
This map is so unfun I can't stand it. I used to love the map because it's pretty since the graphical update, but it's so killer-sided now. The entire street is just a big open field essentially, and the houses have random openings all over the place making any window vault relatively unsafe unless you play to 100% perfection on survivor and win every mind-game. Even when I load into the map when I'm playing killer I think to myself "well. free win for me I guess". You have to make a lot of very simple mistakes on killer to do poorly on this map now.
The houses being nerfed so much is a big annoyance for me, but even worse than that which I brought up briefly is the middle of the street being such a dead zone. Sure, you have some pallets, but there are basically no line-of-sight blockers in the road. This means killers easily see you at all times when looping them so there is limited mind-game counterplay potential in the street, and it makes ranged-attacking killer's job super easy.
If the map is going to be so open and barren at least add another house or 2 and make it less of a perfect square. You could add ANYTHING to the completely dead edges of the map. The little park area with the hedges could be filled in to be more of a jungle gym. The map is way too small for so much open space!

For some reason instead of actively trying to balance the game it's like the devs take revenge on their own issues with the game. Haddonfield used to be incredibly survivor sided but now it has to be incredibly killer sided because it used to be incredibly survivor sided. There are a lot of other examples of this too. Skull merchant used to be horrible so instead of reworking her to actually be fun they just made her unviable. There's another example too where a former dev hated flashlights so much they reworked light born so that killers couldn't be blinded at all when using it.
Quite frankly this won't be addressed, at least not for a year or two.
On the off chance that any of the devs actually read this, please prove me wrong, please rework things to be fun.5 -
I'd honestly be fine with the first iteration of haddonfield's rework again, that one was fine.

The two first were completely survivor sided, and now they made it killer sided, they really don't know how to balance this map.

Occam's razor. The devs aren't good at balancing maps whatsoever. I also have a feeling there is weird licensing issues at play with maps. Look at badham that STILL has 5 variants that are insanely obnoxious to play on. Surely freddy was being considered for changes a long time ago as well.

I'm inclined to agree that there are probably licencing issues (i.e- the maps must somewhat look like what they are based off in the original media so they need to be approved first). But do also consider that there had been incredibly broken stuff that was original too.

All players agreed about the haddonfield rework even the killer biased ones, that it is way too killer sided, but the devs released it regardless.
They won’t change it anytime soon which is a shame.
