Teammates is why I hate soloqueue.

Honestly, I would take having a slugging and tunneling killer every game if it could mean I have good teammates. Soloqueue is just so frustating. I understand, some players aren't that good, some players don't know what to do, but I am not mad about that. A lot of times their plays feel selfish at best and malicious at worst.

My past 5 games (I did the tome challenge to escape with random perks, so I couldn't use real builds) had 2 DCs a few minutes in and 1 going next on first hook.

In one of the game where neither happened. I died on second hook. The killer was not camping, however two people were busy and saw on the HUD the third was not doing anything, so they likely assumed he was going for the unhook. In reality however he was ratting in the corner and I died. I don't think that guy touched a single gen that game.

The other game were no going next happened, I was on hook. One Survivor was busy in chase, the other one was doing a gen and the third one decided to cleanse a dull totem. Later, the Survivor who cleansed the totem got chased and they decided that now was the perfect opportunity to unhook me. They were healthy without hook stages, I was injured with one hook stage so the killer obviously chose me as the target. The other Survivor ran away and didnt even try taking a hit. Later that same game, another Survivor is on hook for the second stage, I have already been hooked twice, the other two have no hooks, but one is injured. Both me and the injured Survivor are on gens. I assume the healthy Survivor with no hook stages, the same one who unhooked me earlier, would go for the unhook. I kid you not, as I think that I see that Survivor walking (not running, walking, despite the killer being not a stealth killer and being nowhere near) from the direction of the hook towards me and sit on the gen with me. Leaving me, the only one dead on hook, to go for the unhook. I got it just in time, but the killer came back to the unhook, and killed me.

Yeah, you could blame the killer for coming back to hook, but the killer strategy was at least playing for the win. My teammates strategies were short sighted selfishness.

Yes, I am not the best player, yes I make mistakes, but at least I try to play properly instead of just screwing my teammates over constantly.

You might claim I am baby MMR, I am not. I am definitely not top MMR, but I am definitely out of Baby MMR, literally had a Survivor Main with over 2500 Hours I played with for a while tell me they think I am pretty good at Survivor.

Also, my teamamtes who screwed me over were not babies. The one who ratted in a corner all game, he was P78. Yes prestige doesn't equal skill, but it means you don't lack basic game knowledge. You just decide to be selfish.

I see this on Killer too. I like to play Lethal Pursuer on Hillbilly and sometimes get a down for free because some Survivor decides to be AfK for the first 15 or seconds of the game. Yeah, even if you don't get downed, that is still 15 seconds you could have spend sitting on gens. Its 15 charges, meaning 1/6th of a gen. Other times I get Survivors trying to rat out their teammates to me. Or Survivors in a game where they actually have the advantage, but they decide to go Next/DC just because they are the first one to get hooked or hit or because I mindgame them. As Survivor I constantly see Survivors who get slugged just lying there, neither crawling nor recovering, or Survivors just holding onto the box from pinhead and not solving it, even when he is busy carying another Survivor, or Survivors taking the Killer to the hook, or Survivors refuse to who heal me even in Situations where it would be appropiate (if you unhook me, and I have more hook stages than you, you should heal me before I heal you), etc…

Of course I also get great teammates. But when I play Killer the gamble is how good my enemies are and nothing more. When I play Survivor, I have a gamble how good my enemy is AND how good my allies are.

BHVR needs to completely overhaul the way that “skill” is measured in the game. Here is how insane the current system is: Player A DC’s or “goes next” immediately in every single match. Player B is a great teammate, loops killers like a pro, takes protection hits, rescues and heals people, etc, but somehow they never manage to escape for whatever reason. BHVR’s skill-measuring system says that these players are equally skilled.

I think BHVR has done a very good job with the game and continuing to improve it over these past 10 years, but the fact that they haven’t figured out a way to better measure player skill and incorporate that into matchmaking is by far their biggest failure.

Not sure why your being downvoted(but then again until they get rid of this lame button its gonna be abused) anyways yeah and this is why killers once again need to STOP qqing about swf this swf that, cause its honestly the only reason to enjoy the game or even get things like this whack challenge done. I as we speak tried 10 times in a row and gave up till my swf is on.

When I get great teammates when playing solo or duo (the only two ways I play survivor), I'll sacrifice myself to help them. I'll glowingly reminisce about them for hours. They are rare unicorns. I can go weeks between matches where I see one.

Matchmaking is screwed. I'm not the best survivor by any means, but I don't drag the killer to the hook or stealth around the edges of the map or give up on a 99.9% gen the moment I get a whisper of the killer's TR. The teammates I get are maddening. Neither me nor my friend are so bad at survivor that we deserve these teammates. Some of our teammates are so bad that we do better after they're dead and the two of us will escape having had three gens remaining.

Then, I try playing killer on Switch (where I can't get a hook to save my life thanks to performance issues) and I suddenly get survivors who know how to loop and stick to gens (prestiged survivors with full loadouts and tier 3 perks). I play killer on PS4, where I'm actually not awful, and I get potatoes (no prestige, no perks or maybe a single tier 1 perk). It's backwards! No one can convince me matchmaking is working properly.

This game's biggest problem is the broken matchmaking.

The devs continue to balance the game towards that is why.

Players are doing it too just look at all the xenomorph qqing about the flame turrets.
Its a 100% change for soloQ as you cant really tell your teammates not to waste turrets, where to put them etc… but killers dont like this as it nerfs them against comms.

Look at how many people like the new killer because hes insanely strong. One that seemingly behaves like wesker/nurse. Dash next to someone let go, down someone. Dash over a pallet down someone.

Players and devs are making soloQ, with every patch, more unplayable.
