Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

We need more everyday people as Survivors (Lore feedback)

The original survivors in DBD were everyday people, living their lives until one day they disappeared into the fog. Their stories felt grounded, focusing on smaller things. But there was a change in the approach to new survivors, with a majority of them being famous, wealthy, or both. Those who aren't, have backstories with more fantasy elements that also take away from being everyday people, like Gabriel, a clone from the future sent off into space. Mikaela, Sable, and Renato are the only three survivors since 2020 (More than half the game's lifespan) who feel like everyday people and they are some of the most popular original survivors so it's odd not to have more than 3 in the past 5 years

They need to let us create our own survivors and just sell perks and cosmetic pieces that fit preset body types.

Poor Thalita is somehow not a normal person, but her brother is.

Thalita was a supermodel and has multiple paragraphs talking about how she gained a lot of fame, and how she used it to attract more customers to her kite shop

"The videos even caught the eye of a modeling agent. Before she knew it, Thalita was booking photoshoots for print ads and appearing in commercials."

"Fame, it seemed, was not as glamourous as she thought it would be"

"Thalita’s fame helped attract even more people to the hobby."

Gabriel is futuristic everyday clone. I think this counts.
