Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Please Adjust The Knockout Change.

The PTB discussion section is down so I'm going to do it here instead.

First of all, please return the effect that slows survivor crawl speed initially when downed. This aspect of the perk is extremely helpful at preventing survivors from crawling under a pallet/into the open during the hit recovery animation which significantly reduces the chance of a pallet save/flashlight save. It's something small but it is the only perk that is useful to prevent pallet saves and atleast with this effect, the name will make sense.

Next up we have the actual effect, it just sucks for most killers. Knockout in it's live state benefits basic attack killers (the weaker killers) more than special attack killers since it activates only on a basic attack.

I say this because the time which a survivor is hindered is not enough to prevent them from getting to another pallet in every scenario I tried in the PTB while using basic attack killers. If you break the pallet they still make it to another pallet or window and if you go around the pallet they still make it. This means the one thing it's meant to prevent (shift W) it fails at.

In it's current state, the only killers that will benefit from this effect are ones who can close the gap if survivors just shift W from the pallet. Such as Chucky with slice and dice + scamper, Blight with rushes, Nurse with blinks, Wesker with dashes etc.

It's yet another perk that was useful on weaker killers being nerfed and even worse it's being made useless on those killers and made better for the killers that don't need the help and quite frankly I think that's just terrible all around. First STBFL, then sloppy butcher and now knockout are getting nerfed. Can the effect please be one that actually benefits the weaker killers rather than one that makes already strong killers even stronger and please return the old effect of the crawl speed so it can be useful to prevent pallet saves.

I think its fair to want the slow crawl speed to stay in the game. I don't think it would be too strong if it slowed survivors crawl speed for 10 seconds after a down or something in addition to the PTB effects. I do hope BHVR will tack on this effect to the new version or bake it into a new perk in the future. It never feels good to have functionality removed from the game just because most people don't use it and play meta.

I do like Knockout's new effect however and would like them to keep it in some form. Perhaps it might need some adjusting later though for the reasons you mentioned.

STBFL and Sloppy getting nerfed was a bit criminal since are pretty much only good on the weakest killers in the game. Maybe BHVR will reconsider them someday. Knockouts main effected did need to go for the health of the game though.

Knockout's main effect definitely needed to be removed, but I'd be fine with the crawl speed reduction being re-added (in addition to its new effect).

I feel like they just could have either put the aura block on a timer or remove it, and keep/buff the rest.

Slower recovery/crawling isn't that bad, neither is Deafened or the decreased F.O.V (both of which are purely cosmetic, let's be real).

I don't mind the main effect being changed but the crawl speed one is actually incredibly helpful and should honestly stay, similar to how lucky star kept it's aura read effects when they changed it before.

Preserving the crawl speed would be all the perk needs to retain some of its original flavour

I just hate that the new effect has absolutely nothing to do with getting knocked out... it's an absolute flavor fail
