Oni flick change
So decided to test how they actually changed Oni and basically one frame flick is no longer possible (tried with 4k DPI but I used to do it with 3k), but they returned flick via looking up, which should be possible on console too.
I can't really test it on console, so maybe someone willing to try and write here?
Kinda annoyed, because I was using mainly one frame flick, so have to relearn it again.
Changed flick is easier to control because you do it "slowly", but in tight spaces you are more likely to hit a wall and stop your attack.

Yes, I play with with controller and it's possible to do 180 normally just by turning the camera.

Well, that's optimal outcome I guess.
Took me few games, but got used to it now. It's slightly worse for me, because it's slower, but I can also adjust it on reaction now.

After investing probably 1k hours in this killer, I tested him today and I must say, he feels like a completely new character. And I don't mean that in a good way. His movement feels way more clunky and the lunge distance of demon strike is way smaller than before, when performing a turn. Overall, I think I will put him beside now, even though he was my main killer for years. RIP Big boi.

Yeah, you definetly get less distance on 180 than before.
Well, at least he is not capped at 90, so could be worse…

We won't be doing a full revert, the whole 1 frame to do the turn was not something ever intended and not accessible for players on a controller. We are looking to adjust the rate of turn however to make it feel more like it did when you could do the "flick" however, which should ease the issue that players are finding it more clunky than before.

it feels too slow now and i really thought you guys would be taking ages to respond to this complaint since not many people play oni and the change is only like one day old rn.
but it's really nice to see how fast you guys respond to community complaints it's very refreshing ty <3.

It will likely be in the next PTB, we want to be able to ensure it all works as it should first and let players play with it (and against it), before pushing it live, to give us the opportunity to make any tweaks that are required…just to be completely transparent about it.

What is this "1 frame flick"? You mean when he turned the camera really fast and hit the survivor instantly?

I don't understand what "works as it should" is supposed to mean. Are survivors intended to be able to avoid 180s simply by looping around an object?

Yes, you needed high DPI for it. It was stronger but kinda more difficult to do. Very similar to PH flick.

I think she meant that this was unintentional and now it's working as the Oni really should be.
And well, if something can't be countered, I think it would be broken, right?

It's an ability that is only available for a limited duration, that is used in combination with a demon dash which is purposely clunky and awkward to use. And there are already some loops were he can't use his demon dash even with pre-nerfed 180s.
There's zero point in playing Oni, if demon mode is going to have so much counterplay, that the killer is often just chasing survivors as an M1 killer while in demon mode.

Nah, if you use demon dash correctly you can counter almost any loop

but the whole point is, you DON'T go for countering Oni in chase, his counters rely in delaying first hit and stealthing his power out, no matter if he can 180 or not.
Acting like you are supposed to make him easily counterable in chase completely destroys the point of him having the power at all. His power is limited and it was always supposed to feel strong while it lasted, that's the reason stealthing during power was and will always be the most optimal option.
Additionally, 180s are more risky to do than just walking down a survivor when you reach a loop anyways.
