It's been an hour of Blood Moon, and I'm not liking it.
So far from the survivor matches from Blood Moon, it's either we do the 3 normal generators on the map, or if the killer is competent in anyway we're all stuck trying to walk back and forwards to pumps to attempt to complete a blood gen, whilst the killer can easily ruin all that progress as it's he's incentivized in kicking and suddenly ruining all that progress unless he spams kicks it to the point it does no damage.
Also why do these blood gens not actually count as generators? You get no objective points from doing them and killers like Houndmaster or Freddy cannot even interact with these generators? Did they fail to code them in the game as actual generators, or am I missing something here?
Killer seems relatively easy, and survivor seems challenging. It's good to see they added a walking simulator into the game, but I remain hopeful we can adapt and as the event progresses people become smarter and better for playing the event.

Yea, the blood gens not counting as actual gens is frustrating. Takes away a TON of perks from killer.

It feels like am in a trial with a pig(even though I have not get one yet as of this post) and its actually annoying specially on indoor maps where these lil gens replace the maines ones mostly its like nope not clicking to me.

The developers said in their livestream that no perk (e.g. PainRes, Pop but also Fire Up), addon, or killer power apllies/works (yet) on these event generators because they want to see what is the feedback on the new gameplay mechanic and depending on this feedback, they would change it.

What's frustrating is that these blood gens take literal minutes to complete due to the process of walking back and forwards, and the killer can come on over and spend no more than 10 seconds in erasing that progress.
And I've had a few games where pumps have spawned absolutely nowhere near the blood gens.

Doing event generators sucks since you get almost no BP (just for finishing it). This event is about BP! Why such low BP?

np. But honestly, I am kinda surprised that no killer power works with these event generators like Houndmaster and Freddy cannot use them for mobility like you mentioned but from what I've heard, RBT from Pig also not trigger from completed event gens. I hope the developers will change at least this quick since it really sucks and makes them worse. I also wouldn't be surprised if due to the blood pumps Xenomorph's Controllstations, Sadako's TVs, and Plague's fountains will have awful spawns like it was always the case with other events that have special event objects.

I think the more blood gens are done community wide, the more the BP will go up from doing them? At the moment it's 0% but will eventually be 500% once the top target is hit.

Just gonna complete the first week's tome and then stop til tthe next one. The mode isn't particularly fun and the constant Ghoul pickrate just adds to more frustration.

I think this is a bug because level two and three have the locked symbol but you can still do them.

So is this like the moon rod event where using event offering is a waste and instead best use cakes/puddings?

You first need to complete level 1 and then you unlock level 2

I'm guessing because they want you to feel like you have to keep playing to 'unlock' the big BP bonus. They don't want the drop-off.

It's also frustrating because they put a 'complete gen' challenge in there and drastically limit the amount of gens you can actually do that on.

Crazy to me that so many people still care this much about BPs in 2k25. I guess the game has a constant stream of new players.

Not even just that.
Freddy can't teleport to event gens. Pig traps don't activate off of event gens. Ghostface's addon to block gens doesn't work on event gens. I'm sure there are more, but those are ones I know off the top of my head.
