Slinger needs love. Isn't Ghoul just a better version replacement of Slinger?
The Ghoul gets guaranteed hits with his ranged attack with his lockon, so missing isn't even a risk unless it's around a corner, but even then, half the time it'll count as a hit anyway. Ghoul also gets map traversal with multiple dashes, while Slinger is just slowly hopping along on a bad leg and has to take time to reel people who happen to get hit while still having risk of chains breaking from terrain or other survivors running in the way.
Isn't Ghoul just better than slinger in literally every aspect? Slinger seriously needs some love, especially since he already had a "better" version being Huntress. If we're having "ranged" attackers flying around at superman speeds, then the original concept of "ranged" killers needing to naturally move very slowly needs to be re-thought.
I feel each killer should have a unique feature\reason to play them. I feel Slinger already had a lack of it with Huntress, but with Ghoul, why ever play him?

At this point why bother with any of the other killers? Kaneki is already the most fun killer in the game and really does make the others look extremely lackluster in comparison.

Don't worry, with how outraged the playerbase is rn, Kaneki will get the Freddy treatment in a matter of months.
But Slinger should get some changes. His reload speed should be faster (without nerfing the add-ons, thank you very much) his stun after a survivor breaks the spear should be slightly shorter, and he needs a big add-on pass.

I mean Ghoul in his current state makes the majority of the killer roster pale in comparison, he's very overtuned and likely headed for nerfs.
That being said, Slinger could use a faster reload speed buff and he needs an addon pass too, only about 7-8 or so of his addons actually get much use and reload speed addons lowkey feel required for him to not feel clunky at times. They've already reduced the reload time once before but it wasn't enough imo

Slinger is already good killer, i really don't think he needs any further buffs.
On the other hand, Kaneki is just plain overtuned so comparison between those two is kinda flawed

Slinger is weak because of all of the ranged killer restrictions he has to follow. Ghoul is overturned because he can ignore all of those ranged killer restrictions.

I don’t understand how people say there is no reason to play Slinger because Huntress.
- No need to reload at lockers
- Not locker rng dependent
- Not as map dependent as a result
- Negates distance by reeling
- Deep wounds slowdown
- Pulls survivors away from pallets/ pallet saves
- Pull survivor to object for safe pick up
- Can use stealth perks
- Can use Exposed perks
- Cowboy
There’s plenty of reasons to use him. Is she stronger? Yes. But that’s irrelevant. They have different unique attributes which is why you play one and not the other. If you only care about winning then you know who to play.1 -
You may have clicked the wrong thread - this is about Ghoul, not huntress. I did make a comment that Huntress overall is better than Slinger, but that was just referring to the fact that while Huntress is objectively better than Slinger, now we have a killer that pushes slinger even further into just being underpowered when comparing the options out there. He was already suffering in terms of ranged killer picks, but now he's on life support and could use some buffs.

His Terror radius is a problem. For 4.4 its too big compare to huntress. Yes 40m Ghoul Terror MEANS this guy is DEADLY!

No I was just countering the fact you said there was little reason to pick Slinger over Huntress which is just flat out wrong.
I do agree there is little reason to pick slinger over Kaneki though. He’s just better in almost every way. Especially being 115%
