Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

protection hits should forfeit endurance

unhook endurance forces killers to facecamp during egc to not just give away kills for free, abusing endurance creates degenerate metas around anti-tunnel perks, and theres often a perverse incentive to slug instead of hook depending on the game state

endurance should be used as a defensive tool, not a flashlight on steroids that lacks any of the counterplay flashlights have

I'm pretty sure this wouldn't even work

If you take a protection hit for a healthy survivor it doesn't count as a protection hit, which means the endurance activates.

If you take a protection hit for an injured survivor you're either griefing or have DS, Unbreakable, Exponential, etc.

I think the community agreed solution of having the unhookee lose collision is the way things have to go.

Also maybe have it so if the killer walks through the unhooked survivor they (the survivor) gets hindered so they can't continuously run inside the killer's M1 hitbox.

    1. There should be a new event called Bodyblock, that activates when a survivor is hit, and the survivor is closer to the killer (and at least somewhat in the same direction) as a 2nd survivor. And it doesn’t matter if the 2nd survivor is healthy, injured, or in deeps wounds.
    2. If a survivor is unhooked, they lose collision with OTHER SURVIVORS for 10 seconds, and the Bodyblock event can’t activate in the first 5 seconds after being unhooked. This allows a recently unhooked survivor enough time to reposition themselves so they aren’t accidentally body blocking the killer.

Ok, hard to swallow pill, but survivors SHOULD body block off hook, letting the killer get a hit (or trade) for free is selling out your teammate

an anti tunnel mechanic should not have a use case in which it is best to take aggro. it defeats the purpose.

technically it's one of the only anti-camp mechanics which actually work right now lol

If we talk about Off the Record then sure, maybe I can agree with that, but basekit BT is not only anti tunnel tool but also anti proxy camp and for some reason people get mad when survivors are using it the second way

I disagree. People dont like BT bodyblocks because they punish the killer for trying to go for the other survivor. For me at least, 99% of BT bodyblocks happen because the teammate made an unsafe unhook and the unhookee is trying to keep them healthy, meanwhile I am doing everything in my power to avoid chasing them. At that point you either take the disadvantageous chase with the healthy unhookee or go for the now dead hard/OTRless unhookee who just handed you another hook (which they will be mad at you for)

Then endurance would not work after getting unhooked, because your unhooker would be right next to you.

I think that instead of using endurance, antitunnel effects should remove your collision.

So if I hit the unhooker I can then immediately hit the unhooked, counting as a protection hit, neutralizing their basekit BT and letting them immediately settle back into being on the hook?

    Sounds awful!
