Do you think that behaviour will ever add that skip button for death/mori animations?
Well it is nothing new that wasting time to watch animation of some sweaty monkey that humps on my leg when I hang on a hook isn't funn so why can't we skip death animation when tentacles of the entity touch us where we wouldn't concent? A general waste of time, a fuel to the frustration, boredome in pure form yet I need to watch the same animation for N-th time again and again until I puke.

You can abdondon match if you're the last one. I don't think you can do much if it's a mid-game mori. But yea, you should be able to skip the cut scene like every other game out there.

If my kid is watching, who’s 6, and I’m about to get Mori’d and I don’t want them to watch cause it’s a gruesome one (like Kanekis) I just hit escape to bring up the menu that gives you the option to leave the match, but I don’t actually leave. It blocks out the animation and quiets it. Maybe that can be an option?

I bet this the reason I notice these killers have been brining pink moris 100x fold now and play as tunnel, campy till hook 2 cause they are mad now the last down person don't have to watch their stale mori.

That tracks. I saw someone complain elsewhere that they were upset that survivors were able to leave before the mori, and that's unfair. After people said who cares, they then called survivors sore losers because they don't want to watch the same cut scene AGAIN.

Yep.

Not to question parenting, but why would you allow a child to watch you play a mature rated game anyway? Bringing up the option screen while the mori plays, thus blocking the majority of the animation is sufficient. (An option to skip would be nice though…)

Let's be real, the main issue is the bm and humiliation not the length of animation.
Dbd community loves to rub it in. Sometimes it can also be the game making them frustrated and them taking it out on you like dbd is your design.
I'm not excusing anyone btw but it's pretty common experience and won't ever change.

That’s a totally fair question. TBH DBD isn’t really that scary to watch for the most part. There’s no blood effects, no jump scares, no gore (only in a mori). For the most part it’s just running around. It’s also a passive watch, as usually they’re watching something or drawing or doing a puzzle, and not actively staring at the screen the whole time. I’m on PC as well so they don’t hear anything either.
But yeah for the most part there’s nothing really scary to watch aside from the mori, so if they happen to be around I just tab out to be safe.
