Boon/Totem perks buffs

Boon perks are a very cool concept in dbd and it‘s sad to see them never getting any bigger changes because of the fear of another circle of healing. Nonetheless I’d like to suggest a few things to make them appear more often in our matches. Many people will probably just downvote me for talking about boons regardless on what I write. Before you do that, please tell me why you don‘t like each change, so I can take it into account or argue against it.

Boons in general

  • Increased radius to 32 (was 24)meters.
  • Boon noises drastically reduced to be as loud/silent as hexes.
  • Killers see a status effect appear to show when a boon is active. It is grey when not inside the boon totems radius, turns blue inside the boons range and the closer you get, the brighter it gets. Like a radar.
  • You bless totems faster with a little twist to make using only one boon perk more viable. One totem takes 8 seconds, each additional boon perk adds 2 seconds on top. (2=10s,3=12s,4=14s)
  • After the first or second time (couldn’t decide) the killer kicks a boon, the totem gets distroyed. (Shattered hope)
  • Boon perks unlock the ability to rebuild broken totems, which takes 14 seconds. This can only be done once per totem.

Boon: Circle of healing

  • Increased altruistic healing speed to 120-150% (was 100%).
  • Unlocks self care at 45% of the normal healing speed. (New)

Note: Before you downvote me for suggesting this. The last circle of healing with self care took 10.66 seconds to heal yourself (150% self healing speed) - This version takes 35.5 seconds, which is much much longer. It basically benefits the killer if survivors selfheal with it constantly.

Boon: Dark theory

  • Increased haste to 3 (was 2)%.
  • Increases vaulting speed by 5-10%. (new)
  • See the killers aura for one second, has a cooldown of 5 seconds. (New)

Boon: exponential

  • Shows the aura of all hooks to all downed survivors (new)
  • Downed survivors crawl 50% faster (new)

Boon: illumination

  • The Auras of all Chests, hooks, totems, exit gates and Generators (was chests and generators) are revealed to you and your team in blue map wide (was inside the boons radius).
  • Increased Blessing and Cleansing speed to 50 (was 10)%

Boon: Shadow Step

  • Muffles footstep sounds. (New, from @SoGo)

Counterforce (mini rework)

  • You cleanse, rebuild (new) and bless (new) Totems 70-80% faster (was 20% + 20% per totem)
  • After cleansing or blessing (new) a Totem, the Aura of all Totems (was farthest) from you are revealed to you for 2/3/4 seconds.

Shattered hope (Rework)

  • You can kick/distroy totems/boons (was only boons) that you find, which shows you the aura of all survivors for 6 seconds. Doesn‘t work with pentimento.
  • Shows the aura of boon totems in a range of 18 meters (new, only if boons get buffed).
  • For each broken Totem gain one stack, for each stack performing the damage generator action reduces the progress of the generator by an additional 1.5 % of its total progress. (New)

What do you think and what should l change?

    The changes to Boons overall seem mostly fine, although I can't really get the reason to add in the radar suggestion, tbh.

    With the rebuild mechanic, I think Boons breaking after one use would not be that much of a problem.

    I think it would be better to just use one of the CoH buffs, either the healing speed buff or the Self-Care.

    I still stand by my opinion that Dark Theory should get a total overhaul, but that just comes down to personal preference.

    The rest seems ok.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    The radar thingy was mainly because of blueberry that complained about, how am I supposed to know that one is in play if I miss the global Audio que and how am I supposed to find it when they are so silent.

    I would prefer the COH buff with self care rather than the altruistic healing speed if I had to chose. My teammates almost always refuse to run into the boons radius. While sitting in the boons radius I could at least heal slowly until someone comes to finish it or I do my self.

    When they rework Dark theory your idea would be nice.
