Abandoning
Why is it that the killer can abandon the game if the survivors haven't popped a gen in 10 mins. I just had a game where the killer sat there and held a 3 gen for more than 10 mins and then dcd and with one survivor left then it gave him the kill for dcing that doesnt make sense at all. You should make it that the killer can dc if there hasnt been any gen progress made or at least a certain amount cause that really dumb.

The killer lost. What's the big deal exactly? You want them to be able to surrender and take a loss faster than 10 minutes, perhaps?
I'm not sure if it counts it as a win for the survivor but it definitely counts as a loss for the killer per BHVR's statement.

No if killer abandon when the survivors haven't popped a gen in 10 mins its a win. OTZ has made a video ont this topic.
you can 3 gen 10 min, abandon and its a win.-3 -
The post game screen when abandoning from survivors not doing gens shows the survivors as dead, but this is true, it is considered a loss for the killer.

I dont see how its a loss if you can still get adept achievement for that same dc

They need to make it more clear what its classified as it does give wrong impression.

Because killers are the one who taken hostage by eternally hiding survivors they can never find, survivors can easily end the game by doing generators or simply getting hooked

The thing here is that it does not take into account if survivors has worked on gens it only takes into account if gen has been finished in past 10 minutes. Even in normal gameplay you can get standoffs where everyone is playing not hiding but can't get a gen done because killer is keeping the gens from finishing or slugging survivors to force them to be in loops of whack a mole healing people up and trying to again evade. This in no way means the game is finished or that survivors have no chance of winning it but they have more important priorities than getting gen totally finished when you have to get the others back up.
Easy way to make this not be the case would be made so that if survivor is unhooked or picked up it will reset the timer. Easy fix for a problem they created with this 10 minute rule.

maybe 10 minutes is a little short, I don't really care if it goes 15 minutes or 20 minutes
But realistically speaking, BHVR are the one who have statistics, and also in my experience entire game length for pretty much all matches are like sub 15 mins lately, so I don't even believe stalling for 10 minutes is a "normal gameplay" in slightest, let alone winning as there will be zero pallet or anything at that point
It's not even a win for killers anyway, just take the free win against a killer that has surrendered

Happened to me yesterday we were three left and by some luck the killer did it. He kept doing slugging runs most of the time one of us was up who have to run picking others up while killer chased another who got picked up. I got event gen to millimeter done but because the pump was half a map away and he came to it I could not get it done as he started chasing me. Still at the point the game got "abandoned" me and the other two had already managed to do comeback were full health and was going to go to get that gen but the game ended because the killer could abandon. We literally got penalized of getting the group back to a state where we could maybe even finish the two gens we needed to do but because of this feature we got denied that.
It also does not state that its a win. Survivors don't escape they get killed and not stated that they win. Killer is the one that gets the view to be the winner.

Extremely rare case for sure, in actually "normal" matches, those situation will either results in killer quickly downing everyone or survivors rather quickly getting back up and resetting/finishing gens, 10 minutes is a long time and there is no wonder killer rather decide to leave
In the end, I'm not even against prolonging it a little longer, just thinks that's not needed

Mandy said:
"On our side that's how it does work, its considered a loss for the killer. Just the visual on the endgame screen doesn't reflect that - it's been brought up with our QA team to fix. If the killer uses the Abandon feature, it's is most definitely counted as a loss."2 -
Yeah and they need to fix it and that was my point.

Is it the same with survivors abandoning?

abbadoning just counts as DC, if the killer did it, the killer gets a loss and the survivors get a win, It's just DC with all the usual things but without the time penalty

a survivor that abandones at the end of a match does not lose or win mmr?

This is not correct. Otz was wrong. BHVR confirmed this.

Mandy stated already this is a bug. It’s not intentional. It’s suppose to reflect a loss for the killer.

Yes, when the survivors are on the ground and use the exit from the match option, it is considered a defeat for the survivor, with MMR everything is a bit more complicated since with ab func it works a bit differently, but basically everything is the same, surrender match = lose , just from some variables like the end time of the match the results can be slightly different
