New quest system is a welcome change! But….
The fact that this game’s new system makes completing quests so effortlessly and done in the background is a huge and welcome change. It’s all good until we reach the rift fragment exchange. I genuinely enjoy grinding the rift out as much as I can, but now I’m just locked into doing these quests that can be capped until the next quest pops up. This feels more like a way for DBD to ask us to pay for the rest of the rift if we can’t wait to finish it. I really hope they go back on this specific change, hopefully.

Its especially frustrating since they removed being able to get rift fragments from normal matches through the usual XP gain. It really seems like they want you not to finish the battle pass so that you don't get all your money back and have to pay out of pocket for the next one, or to buy their rift pass to get a head start. Either way, I really hope they tweak reward numbers, the rift unlock numbers, or add back the ability to gain fragments just through gaining XP per match.

So a little misconception, but I found out yesterday that we do in fact get rift fragments, but the amount is so small (5 fragments from leveling up😭). Honestly, I agree. I hope they tweak the numbers so that way it’s like 10 matches = 1 tier in the rift instead of this 20 matches just to get a single rift tier.

Only 5 per level? 5? Previously, it was 1 fragment per 500 xp, meaning and average of 4.9 fragments per level across all levels, which is equivalent to and average of 49 fragments per level now, and they're only giving us 5? Did they forget to account for the new fragment per tier ratio?

I think that is what the Milestones is for.

Correct, however the milestones don't even give 1 tier per, unless you are at the final level. The math was done and this system is set up so casual players, especially those who really only play 1 side, will almost never reach the final tier. They aren't giving enough fragments and they need to recalculate the amounts.
