You can't finish the rift with the quest system
After doing some math, I've discovered a normal person cannot finish the new rift! : D??
You get 75 shards for weeklies, you get 5 tasks a week within 12 weeks. You need 100 shards to level up in the rift so that's 75 * 5 * 12 / 100 = 45. If you do every weekly you'll get only to level 45 in the rift.
Ok well, we have dailes, don't we? Le
It's see you get 15 shards for 1 daily, you get 3 a day within the 83 days the rift last. That's 15 * 3 * 83 /100 = 37.3.5. So that's 37 / 38 levels. Combining that with all weeklies will get only to level 82 / 83…. That's not good
We still have Milestones right…? I don't want to get into specifics since they all have different shard rewards but they all added together will equal around 83
YOU would need to do EVERY weekly, HALF of dailys, and EVERY milestone to get everything from the rift… that's 38 days of at least 3 matches a day, for most of us, this is not managble since you know, we work and have lives: D???
Before by doing all tome challenges, you could easily finish the rift but now, it's pretty much impossible without paying for a big chunk of it, This cannot stay the way this is

I think you still get fragments by playing because when I checked my progress yesterday it didn't add up.

It's really a travesty.
Before, I could play killer exclusively AND get all the rewards. Now, I have to do everything, killer AND survivor, to barely get there.

sadly you do not

That is absolutely ridiculous. Dead by Daylight was a grindfest even before the update. Who did the math on their side? Was there any statistical analysis done by Behaviour to confirm if the average player plays even nearly enough to complete this? This at best anti consumer and a slap in the face of all paying customers, who bought into the rift not knowing its impossible to complete, without basically dedicating a portion of your life to it for the quarter of a year.

Maybe you only get them when leveling up, similar to shards? Or else how would I have more tiers than I should have?

You do there's just no progress indicator for it. I've added up all the fragments I've earned and I have more fragments than I've earned from quests

Yeah, I have no idea how could they screw something so simple.

I can't verify your math, as I'm not currently signed in to see # of shards but I played 4 games yesterday which finished all my weeklies, dailies and several milestones. I am already passed 10 on the pass.
Sonething not taken into consideration in your calculations... We almost always get at least 1 or 2 event tomes throughout a Rift that usually gives far more than it's fair share of Shards. We don't know what this will look like yet.
Something else not taken into consideration is the fact you can work on multiple missions at once. Under the old system, i would have had to play far more games for the progress I have so far.
I think you, and everyone else commenting negatively, are jumping the gun. Maybe give it more than one day before saying the pass can't be completed.

tbf yes, you get them… But most of us have 8hr job, we also need to sleep, take care of our houses etc.. I can not be playing all day every day just to finish a rift.. Not to mention DbD is not the only game.. That is the main concern.

The rift should not in any way rely on daily; it's just a much worse system than before. Before, you could not play for weeks and easily finish the rift, but now? :/
Skipping any day can mean losing Rift tiers. Also, THESE CHAALNGES ARE SO BOOOOORING DUDE "run for x seconds" "win x times" "do x number of gens" holy znooezfest. Going to this from stuff like "Tricky, Tricky" is so bad 😒 WHERE ARE GLYPHS, WHERE ARE MEMEORY FRAGEMNTS BRING THEM BACK 😭2 -
oh yeah, I completely agree with you on the boring part, and I am afraid I won't be able to finish the rift with ease and will have to grind through it..
