Houndmaster nerfs were actually pretty severe
Started playing houndmaster again after the nerfs and i've played about 40ish games with her since then and wow the nerfs were quite heavy
Not only did they fix the vault bug they added a nerf on top of it basically making it a double nerf
The killer is not unplayable or totally worthless but it's def feels like a huge difference in strength
For example, they basically made her punish for survivors failing the counterplay and dropping the pallet in her face very dodge able and makes it feel like half the time they just get away scot-free or their mistake
Plenty of times the survivors dropped it in my face when i had whistle up and they were able to avoid snug grab no problem and just shift W away from the tile
this to me is unacceptable as now survivors can do the correct counterplay of afking at pallet And even if they mess up it doesn't matter because 7/10 times they'll be able to avoid the dog because the vault is slow

Yeah the way some people were crying "new Chucky scamper" for both the old dog's vault speed and Vecna's Mage Hand just for both of them to end up as 2 mediocre B tier killers was really embarrassing ngl.

Yeah I said something about this and many people disagreed, the vault was WAY too fast before but now its completely worthless

I mean Mage Hand for sure has more counterplay than old Chucky scamper but I wouldn't call Vecna mediocre. Though in general I wouldn't call B tier killers mediocre anyways. He is still fairly strong.

I havn't had too much trouble with her tbh when it comes to windows, it's mainly pallet camping which is annoying.

Haven’t played as her much since the changes but going against her she feels a bit weak.

I mean, before the nerfs she could use Snug reactively to a survivor dropping a pallet and the grab was still guaranteed, they kind of HAD to nerf his vault speed.

It's not the end of the world, imo.
As someone who plays her, I barely noticed the difference.
What IS a problem is how clunky the Search is, how useless and bugged Houndsense is, how the Redirect is worthless 9/10 times you use it, and how her add-ons are just the most worthless thing ever outside of select few of them.
The many clunky features and the horde of bugs make her severely unenjoyable.

It was perfect. I never thought the dog's vault was too fast. She needs it to be fast so that she can actually get survivors with her power.

Which is what she's supposed to be able to do, like Huntress at pallets. Otherwise, her power is in survivors' hands.

A Huntress cannot see someone drop a pallet, then decide to pull up and still get a guaranteed hit. Houndmaster could.

No she can't, she still needs to start charging it before they drop the pallet.
