Ghost face gets revealed way too fast!!
I am a ghostface main and have 800 HOURS Ghost Face is a fun and unique killer, but his current reveal mechanic makes him feel weak and inconsistent. Survivors can reveal him way too easily, even by accident through thin objects or while not even fully aiming at him. A fair fix would be to make it so survivors need to aim at Ghost Face for at least 0.8 seconds before the reveal starts building, and the actual reveal takes 1.5 seconds after that. If they look away during this time, the timer resets. This way, survivors still have counterplay but need to actually commit to spotting him. His reveal range could also be slightly reduced from 32m to 28m, and reveals through objects like fences or grass should be disabled. It would also help if Ghost Face had feedback when he’s being revealed—like a soft noise or screen indicator—so he can react and break line of sight. Finally, reduce his Night Shroud cooldown from 30 to 24 seconds, with a further 6s reduction if he downs a marked survivor. These changes would keep him balanced while fixing the unfair parts of his kit and making him feel more rewarding to play.

I agree and the reveal mechanic is very inconsistent

Sure, do all that, but make it so that he cannot build up any mark progress on a survivor while they are revealing him, and also have the mark progress decay like it does for trickster.

Ghostie is already a super weak killer. It's frustrating that they changed his reveal mechanic a while back that allows survivors to reveal him through solid walls and even sometimes when looking in the opposite direction from him. He needs buffs, and the whole revealing when not in line of sight needs fixing.

yeah lets make the d tier killer even shittier

Everyone cries too much about ghost face being so "weak" when he in fact is quite strong. His main "counters" all involve the entire team being a coordinated SWF (spoiler: ALL killers will struggle with this!) where no one touches gens until someone can spot him, and one person basically follows him around and keeps him out of power.
Sounds so terrible for ghost face at first, until you realize that all that time, it means survivors are not doing gens, and if someone is always following you and knocking you out of stealth, that is a free chase you get to start without having to search for the survivors.
Frankly I don't care where big streamers place him on their tier lists. He needs to be fair to go against, and removing him from power at most once before he just face stalks you and gets a free instant down isn't fair.

everyone cries about trapper being so weak when in fact he is quite strong.
except trapper actually has a power that cant be taken away from him and can deny some loops.
ghostface is m1 trash and against swf he struggles more than literally any killer in the game, stop with this "every killer struggles against swf" nonsense as if they are all equal against 4 mans. lots of killers, even b tier killers, have a chance against some swfs but ghostface does not. he has no map mobility, no anti loop at all, and his power can be removed from him in less than 2 seconds. he is mouse 1 in its purest form, but I guess youre right, hes so strong,0 -
Ghostface a D tier killer? F tier at best

Let's buff Ghostaface.
- Exposed lasts 120s
- Whever someone is marked, GF has undetectable
- If the mark expires before GF can instadown, the survivor will lose healthstate
- Marking someone grants GF 20% haste for 10s
- GF cannot be revealed if any survivor is marked
- Marking takes 1.5s
- Revealing takes 8s
- Cooldown od power is 5s
- When the GF is revealed, he has lingering undetactable for 30s
With all those changes GF might be solid C tier

thats more to do with the ######### servers, like I'm not kidding the difference between the reveal on survivor side to the reveal on killer side is like night and day.

You seem to fail to take into account the fact that if LOS is broken, Ghostface instantly loses all detection on him. You can duck behind cover and repeak immedietly.

That's not remotely true. See my video above as evidence. Heck, the basement is an obvious example. I dont even start to stealth until I've already turned the corner and already am heading up the stairs and yet the hooked person still reveals me. You also see the same thing when I'm playing survivor where I literally reveal the ghost face while he's entirely behind me and off screen.

Unbelievable. It's like killer mains think that unless a killer can consistently get a 4k in 99% of their games, then the killer is F tier.

Very trueee.....it feels very frustrating!!

I can't tell how many times I've been staring at a Ghost Face, and the revealing would not start. Sometimes never. And other times, by the time it finally would start, he would have exposed me already. So, it seems that there are problems both ways. I hope they address these.

You're telling the truth but you will be downvoted for it, why?
Because people simply need to believe this Killer can never be good, or it shatters their idea that maybe they're wrong about M1 Killers, not playing this one correctly, or not very good at stealth Killers in general. They did it with Sadako, they did it with Wraith long ago, and now it's simply Ghostface's turn to be crapped on. They also did it when Chucky got the MINOREST of tweaks to make him more fair in chase, and the community instantly started screaming "OMG HE'S TRASH NOW HE'S A C TIER" when he wasn't. Frankly the constant complaints are probably because most people try to play Ghostface and other Stealth Killers the way you would most M1s. You cannot do that, they are not built for that, these Killers are meant for ambush not chase - and even in chase, if you simply know how to use your power and mindgame, you're probably fine.
It's 100% not his Reveal that's the issue, though it can be problematic due to server ping, or his chase (he technically uses extended mindgames as antiloop). The issue is his mobility. He's otherwise got a pretty balanced OK Kit and decent addons, he is not "weak" just because Otzdarva says he is and everyone wants to believe they're high level. I promise you, you're not high enough MMR to make him so unviable he's actually D tier, you will probably still win 60% of your games playing as him. Yet another reason tierlists are misleading poison to the community and we all should disavow them ASAP. At some point people need to stop blaming the Killer and their kit, and start blaming themselves and looking for how to improve, especially with a limited kit like Ghostface has.
And if not, and you still refuse to believe he's fine or try to improve and learn his actual kit? Well…"Is it true? Am I just bad at Ghostface and don't know how to properly stealth or M1 chase? Is he just too difficult for me to use well because I am not good at his kit? No. No, it's not my fault, he's just too weak to be viable… not like me, the strong Blight Main!"
I too will be downvoted for telling the obvious truth, but hey. Whatever helps people who are bad at stealth and M1 chase sleep at night I guess.

Well I agree for the most part. And especially about tier lists.
Every time someone asks a big streamer for some tier list, they are pretty much saying, "Hey guy who is more popular than me, can you think for me so I don't have to?"

Ghostface was never and will never be D tier, and I am sick of people pretending he is. Learn to play the character.
Dredge is also not low tier just because Otzdarva says so. I'm over it.

A lot of it is the game doesn't explain to the survivors how to reveal him. You need to essentially place him halfway between the top middle and middle of your screen. Dead in the center risks covering him up with your own character model.
