Fixing the d/c meta.

There's a hundred idea's floating around. I thought i'de give my idea's, since I play this game to much.

1: A D/c penalty needs to be applied. As of right now a survivor can d/c a game, and get a new one in a moment or two.

A 5 minute ban that escalates each time you d/c would fix this. Most other games have it, and it doesn't hurt, and definately curbs some of it.

2: "Tough Game" incentives. Games go bad for each side. Survivors will rush gens down in less then 5 mins some games. In other games a survivor might get a bad save from a teammate, and get thrown right back onto the hook to die.

These aren't things the player can do much about. So getting a chunk of extra points after the game so it doesn't feel like a waste of my life would be nice.

3: Give an incentive to use less used killers. Dailies are horrible. They tend to make you play a certain way to complete them in a single game, and that game usualy isn't fun. At least for me, and I've heard similar complaints from others. Instead give an after game bp bonus for using killers like Clown, Trapper, Doctor, ect.

It isn't hard for them to keep a metric of what's been used recently and then give out bonus'. This will help convince that Hag main to play something else. But to go with that...

4: Make rank per killer: Once I get to red ranks, there's 2 killers I use almost all the time. Hag and Spirit. I know them, I know how to deal with stuff with them. I'm confident with them. But what if I want to learn the Pig? I have to wait until rank reset. except... everyone my rank is the new rank, so that doesn't work either. People getting stomped on a killer they are trying to learn, will likely d/c

5:This is a pipe dream but...: Rework the bloodweb. All survivors and killers should start with all 4 perk slots open, and all perks they grinded up on other survivors/killers should be unlocked at rank 1 (and need to be leveled) It's absolutely dumb that they want people to go into games with 1 underpowered perk. Especially after i spent 10 hours grinding someone else for a perk to be unlocked for others.

    D/C punishments will most likely come with dedicated servers...I'm so interested in seeing what's coming in June <3

    I would really like to see a d/c penalty. I would also like to have a way to identify players with "bad reputations" so you'll know not to cue with them. Knowing rank pre-game would be nice too...

    as stated in my post, a d/c penalty wont fix the issue.

    It will help, for sure, but other steps need to be implemented.

    Here is an idea, A reward to ranking up and staying ranked up.


    By giving rank a reward attached to each rank that is paid out at the end of the session.

    Nothing for 20, after that 10,000bp AND/OR 200 shards x 1 for Brown ranks, x 2 yellow rank, x 3 green rank, x 4 purple rank, x 5 red rank, x 6 rank 1. Using this math just using blood points is the same as two mori dallies. I understand that seems very small but most folks lizard brain will kick it and want to tough out the bad matches more knowing there is a reward waiting at the end of the session.

    Well it also would be funny if as an april fools joke, they removed the leave match function for during a match XD...wait that actually sounds funny....I hope they do that.

    that could work. Also having some kind of in game icons/ avatars for our account would be an easy code add-on for rewards. Plus give people that have everything, to unlock more stuff.

    So, Any other idea for types of rewards for holding rank? Also what else outside of an out right ban would support this idea? I like the idea of if you D/C more than three times you're booted from que for about 5 minutes then you get an hour cooldown if you D/C again during that hour you get booted from the que for half an hour. Once more and boom and hour

    As for rank rewards. They have already come out and said they are brainstorming it, so I'm not going to keep asking for it. OFC, we might not see it for like 8 years, but they have officially stated they are putting work in for rank rewards. And no i don't have details, because in standard BHVR way, it was just a brief mention.


    edit: I do want to state, that post showing what they are working on.. I love it. It's about time we started getting some info like this.

    Just make separate ranks for Killers, it will solve problem with trying to learn new Killer. You just will start at rank 20 and make your way up with him while leveling.
