Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Is mmr turned off in the random perks event?

im quite experienced as survivor and yes picking perks hard carry some players on looping since most of them rely on exhaustion to achieve a 10 sec chase, i just noticed that my teammates are just dropping like flies on the event and this question came to mind.

Its just that sometimes you see it in game that if the survivor ran in a straight line they would have lasted more… Having random perks is a breath of fresh air on the high mmr stale meta, but getting paired constantly with 5 seconds teammates, or running a killer for 5 gens just to get camped is not fun (most of the time you could get saved but the randoms stay inside the gate to taunt the killer after you pass).

Most games feels like im babysitting players tanking hits and hooks just to get 2 or more people out, otherwise ill be the last guy (since once you loop too much you tend to get ignored)

    No mmr in events

Normal game mmr is barely existent also.

No mmr, as others have said, and most players actual skill is revealed when they can't rely on crutch perks like any of the exhaustion or aura-read perks.

Personally, I love Chaos Shuffle since it takes you out of your comfort zone, rewards extensive knowledge of the game's perks, and wipes away any illusion players have of their over-inflated abilities.

Tl:dr, players think they're better than they actually are and Chaos Shuffle destroys that self image.

I don't think it's completely turned off. I believe the Devs have said they still use your MMR to match make but it's a lot more loose compared to the regular mode (which, let's be honest here, is already pretty relaxed). Plus, you have the added effect of splitting the queues, with a majority of the casual players probably filling up the event queues.

How you perform in the event doesn't move your MMR at all, win or lose. From my own experience as someone who pretty much only plays events/modifiers whenever they are live, which is most of the time now, I find my MMR has decayed by the time I get back into the standard mode queues. This is because the system thinks I've taken a 2-3 week "break" from playing DBD.

yep shuffle is amazing to play remodeled perks too since sometimes they are changed and you dont test it, besides that it lets you play perks you dont own the dlc wich is fun.

Troll account with 8 posts, saying that being able to name things translates to game skill… Basically is the same logic as "I know all the names of chess openings, so I must be a grandmaster!"
