Slugging for 4K is frustrating and boring for survivors

A large number of killers choose to slug one survivor when two are left, in order to prevent a hatch escape and secure a 4K. This often leads to a very frustrating experience for the slugged survivor, who is left with nothing to do but wait and hope the killer eventually picks them up.

There are a few typical scenarios:

  1. The killer slugs briefly, looks around, and if they can't find the other survivor, they hook the downed player to force a hatch standoff.
  2. The killer slugs and waits for the slugged survivor to bleed out, forcing the hatch fight that way.
  3. The killer searches for the last survivor until the slugged player is nearly dead, and if they can't find them, they pick them up and drop them repeatedly to reset the bleed-out timer — or, worse, carry the survivor around endlessly if they don't wiggle.

Aside from the first case, these scenarios are not fun at all — especially scenario 3, which artificially prolongs a game that is already lost and wastes everyone’s time. It's one of the most demoralizing experiences in the game as a survivor.

I strongly believe the game should introduce one or more of the following:

  • A way to surrender when one survivor is slugged and no longer has any real chance.
  • A change to the hatch system so killers can't abuse slugging to guarantee a 4K.
  • A time or mechanic limit on how long a player can be slugged or picked up and dropped repeatedly.

Please consider making changes. Slugging for 4K has become too common, and it ruins the experience for many survivors.
