Why does plot twist cancel out mettle of man?
I was using both perks and I got mettle of man to activate. I plot twist to get healed and then my mettle of man deactivated. Is this a bug or is it intentional. Either way it’s pure robbery

Definitely shouldn’t be intentional. Neither perk is good enough to have a downside like this.

It looks to be intentional, as the description of Mettle of Man states: "Mettle of Man deactivates after entering the Dying State by any means." And you entered the Dying State by using Plot Twist.

I’m pretty sure mettle of man does not activate when you get instadowned. It should not activate here either

You lose Mettle of Man by going into the Dying State.
What I don't get from your screenshots, is what happened in between the first and second. You are crouching, but in the second screenshot you're suddenly glowing white. Did the Killer hit you there? Do you have a video?1 -

What I think happened here, is that Mettle of Man 'protected' you from Plot Twist the first time. Since its entire purpose is to ignore any incoming damage that would put you into the Dying State while injured. So the Plot Twist animation is cancelled, you glow white because of Mettle of Man, then when you Plot Twist again it happens like normal, and Mettle deactivates because you went into the Dying State.
So basically you wasted your use of Mettle by Plot Twisting.1 -
Post in bug reports. They rarely directly comment on bugs here unless they are game breaking.

This is not a bug. Mettle of Man deactivates when you go into the Dying State, therefore the perk is working as intended.
