Haywire nerf was unessecary
What reason is there to nerf a perk that activates at endgame? Didn't think this perk was problematic

I would rather see it as a Buff and not as a Nerf, since most Exit Gates are 99ed if not opened immediatly. So whether it is 50% or 80% of Progress is not relevant most of the time, but having it regress at 100% instead of 50% is better.

They basically forced it to be run with Remember Me.
Without it, you get a 4 second window.

Terrible nerf to a perk that wasn't even all that strong. 4 second window to interrupt now, only good use i can think of is with Blood Warden or Remember Me.

I think its a nerf and buff. The minimum threshold was increased, but in return the regression rate was increased to 100%
If the exit gate is let go at all then that is instantly lossed progression.

Yeah, but all it takes is two healthy survivors to take hits and it is nullified.

IMO the main purpose of the Perk is anyway that Survivors should open the Gate instead of leaving it 99ed.

To give some insight into why this nerf occurred, we found that in the hands of the right Killers, it could be used to lock down the end game. While we've made the decision to nerf it for the time being, we're evaluating improvements to it for the future.

A niche scenario for an already niche perk for a niche build.

is it 80 to 0? or is it 99 to 80

I understand the Perk in a way that once 80% Progression are hit, it will start regressing. And if left alone, it will regress to 0%.

well i ask since on the ptb how it worked was if a gate was 99'd it would regress back to 50% which is why it said up to 50% progression

If it worked like this in the PTB, then it will most likely work like this on Live. And yes, then it is clearly a Nerf and makes the Perk worse than I thought it is. (Even when regressing to 0 I dont think that the Perk is worth using, but if it only Regresses to 50% or even 80%, it is not worth running at all)

I saw a streamer and his friends test it out against Singularity, and even coordinated on comms they couldn't get the gate open. I would assume that's why. The perk is supposed to prevent 99ing the gate, not stop players from opening the gate at all lol

Yeah, I could have seen this being very oppressive when combined with Remember Me and/or No Way Out, so I'm glad Haywire was nerfed.

well that's another perk we won't ever see once people do their adepts lol T

Please undo the change

I'm fine with them adding a secondary effect, but with the right killer, add-ons, and perks, it was almost impossible to open the exit gates, and that is not healthy for the game.
