The 3rd guy (other 2 are dead or slugged as well) has to wait 4 minutes or until the 4th guy is caught. Why can't the slug just abandon match. The killer can still look for the 4th guy while person 3 can move on.

So, if there are 2 survivors left. And you are being chased, then you get downed, then instead of picking you up and hooking you, the killer wants to go for the 4k, but the last survivor is hiding it out. In that scenario as the downed survivor, you should be able to abandon.

As you already know, unbreakable is a one time use, and killers can easily kick boons, but that is also irrelevant to this conversation.
Can I ask why you want the 3rd survivor to slug around for 4 minutes and not be allowed to move on to the next match?

I think in this case it should only be when the last 2 survivors are left. You already can DC if all get slugged, you shouldn't move that to when 3 get slugged, because thats starting to push the line a bit too much i think.

In a case of 3 slugs and one up, their is still a chance the one can get everyone up (or one up and now that guy gets one up, so on and so forth). Not all hope is lost.
I was just using it as an example to explain that in this case you can't abandon yet.

i think the 3rd survivor should be slugged for 4 minutes as a punishment for not bringing one or both these perks since this is such an issue and the game hasn't ended yet
also i have a similar but unrelated question should a killer be allowed to quit if all gens are done?

Sure, but what if the killer can't catch him? Why should the 3rd guy just sit there? We have an abandon system in place, let people use it.

Survivors should be punished for not bringing in certain perks.... well, that's a take. What if they did bring in those perks and they used them/killer kicked their boon? They should still be punished? What if that killer can't catch the 4th guy, he's a looping god, the 3rd guy should be punished? You and I both know that mmr is crap, why should either side be punished for things beyond their control?
Should killer be able to abandon when all 5 gens are complete? I don't care, go for it. Why would I care? I don't think anyone should be punished for being matched against an unfun team. Does the killer still have a chance to gain a kill or two in end game? Sure, it's possible, but if you don't want to try or it feels hopeless, then peace out. Good luck next one.

So what you mean is you can abandon without some proper cause, still slugging for 4k isnt so easy with some killers and most times only slows game but it wont work to killers favor, some survivor perks can deal with this easily. If you want to end just dc or wait for slug, go down.

what about three slugs and the killer is chasing the fourth? There's no end to what some want to leave for because the goal is to leave at anytime for any reason.

Who cares? Let people play how they want to play. It's a game for heaven's sake. Why is everyone so concerned how everyone else plays. Play how you want. Could you imagine if you were forced to play as trapper or SM or what not because of their low pick rates? Stop forcing people to play in ways that they don't find fun. Being slugged is not fun. Full stop.

Killers who slug the second to last Survivor just so they can prevent hatch spawning is one of the more frustrating types of slugging that I'd hoped BHVR would be addressing in the QoL initiative but nope, I guess they decided not to. Especially since I encounter this example of slugging way more often than Killers attempting to slug the entire team.
At least we can now abandon as soon as the last Survivor is downed, but it can still take quite a bit of time for that to happen. So yeah, please fix this BHVR.

Event: 2 survivors are alive but one of them is downed
Recommendation 1: downed survivor has the option to abandon
Recommendation 2: the hatch immediately opens when the survivor is downed. killer can mori, hook, or play for the hatch.
Goal: expedite the end game, no more slugging for 4k nonsense that everyone hates.

Yeah, this. You basically just want the option to bleed out instantly at that point.
It doesn't help your teammate to have to wait out the bot bleeding out.

Except being slugged is not playing the game. Would it really hurt you if the slug abandoned and became a bot? The person slugged can now play their next match and you can still chase after the 4th survivor. Nothing changed except the person forced to lie there and wait can now play a new match. That should be a winning scenerio for everyone.

You are presenting non-solutions.
With Unbreakable, you use it once, the Killer will eventually find you, down you, and slug you again. With Boon: Exponential, the Killer can just snuff it out.
The only issue with slugging for the 4K is how it affects player time. The game enforces slugging for the 4K through various challenges, archives, and achievements, but it results in matches that could have ended minutes ago being padded out longer than they should be. Even if I give myself to the Killer so I can get out of the match, it is out of my control as to rather they actually hook me, so instead Im left on the ground while they search for my teammate; this results in me being stuck in a match for 4-5 extra minutes that I dont want to be in.
Keep in mind, I dont mind slugging for the 4K since it makes Killrates higher and accurately represents a match outcome, I just wish there was a way of not having my time wasted as a Survivor since all agency from my end is effectively removed and my time will always get wasted.

So, people should bring a perk for a "just in case"? Sounds an awful lot like the old days where you needed to run DS, BT, UB just in case, and only had one perk for yourself.

Not really. If you are not bodyblocked (and then hatch wouldnt matter), you can easily force a down (repair a gen) and then dc.
Yh repairing all gens would take time, but the hatch doesnt make it better. The killer can stand on the hatch and force you to do it anyway. So hatch doesnt help.
Hatch exists as secondary escape bc otherwise it would be pointless to continue playing in some matches. But that wasnt even the first intended goal.

Thats not a bad idea. But i would only open the hatch when the survivor dcs/ better has an option to bleed out immediately after 10 seconds.
An instant opening would just make it worse for killer who dont even want to slug. They need to hook and give the other survivor a insane head start in the hatch game.
If the second survivor isnt dead, it can create some weird situations, with two alive and a hatch for only one.
Also the hatch game should already count as a 4k for killer(survivor can still get a tie) Why? Bc if not 100% some killer players will figure out how to waste the time with another strategy. (Like first 100% injuring both survs for better tracking in a hatch game, delaying gens until they know the position of both survs, etc) J

So unbreakable, while nice, especially because killers usually slug constantly now for the 4k, if you're either, the first to be downed or tunneled out, if the killer DOESN'T slug until the last 2 survivors, then basically you're wasting a perk slot on a "Maybe" (Not only that, if it became a common used perk, killer players will find a way to get it nerfed with constant whining about it.) It's counterplay sure, but the counterplay is so easy to counter again…In the event that the killer is slugging anyway, what do you think is gonna happen when that player gets back up? Unless there is like, 1 gen left or the other player JUST went down and the killer is picking them up to hook and finish them, that's the only time I see unbreakable working. If the killer is looking for the last 2 survivors, They'll usually just reslug, thus extending the game in an already unwinnable and boring situation. You're asking to punish a survivor for the other one not coming to save them in a losing battle????
Just go next is the better option if a killer is going to do this. Why would you want to tilt the community even more because tunneling is being encouraged more than ever now by forcing them to stay in the game and wait 5 minutes of doing nothing to die? Or get back up, and waste more time when they'll just most likely die.1 -
I'm always hesitant to increase the number of things that trigger the abandon feature, because I'd rather the devs create things that discourage the defeatist attitude of "i'll just surrender" and use other means to decrease the scenarios where people have no recourse…
…but, in this case I think it's justified. If there's 2 dead and 1 slugged and the killer isn't hooking, there's not much the slug can do, so in that one case it seems fair to give them something to get out of it

In addition to being slugged out, something should also be done about face camping once all gens are done and just being unable to escape hook, especially if NOED is right next to the hooked survivor. That guarantees a 1k alone.

Hostage situation doesn't exclusively refer to bodyblocking. If there's even one gen left, and only one survivor left, there is nothing stopping the killer from keeping them from doing gens and just indefinitely holding them in the match without the hatch.
That's why the hatch can't be removed.

Honestly the third survivor should be able to abandon, but after a short wait in case of valid play (they're downed under a pallet while the 4th survivor is nearby, nearby aura or KI proc on 4th Survivor when downing 3rd, etc.) I think a simple 30 second timer before they can abandon would be a good compromise.

Yh its not only bodyblocking, but your scenario is not a hostage situation.
The killer cant hold you indefinitely in the match bc he cant stop you. Either you repair the gen or he downs you and you can dc.
There are some rare ways to extend it a lot.
Spearing wirh deathslinger and not downing. (Only works if all 3 gens are in a weird position and you still would get it done)
Bodyblocking exit gates switches with wraith or another fast killer. The new anti-bodyblocking would work, but it would take some time.

I honestly don't really care about losing in the slightest but being slugged or having to hide while some ghoul runs around like a dog looking for me for literal minutes is not fun for me or the slugged survivor and frankly I find it hard to understand how even as a killer that's fun lol.
The mori change made this a way bigger issue too, killers used to do this sometimes but now it's the vast majority of my matches cause they want the 4k and the mori.
Either let us cease existing on the ground or abandon either is fine.
It's crazy how stuff like this is even a problem that persists and this isn't even that bad compared to other things previously.
