Why is this killer so unfun?

So are other killers and they aren't as oppressive as this. This killer doesn't really have anything we haven't seen before

Disliking something doesn't make it oppressive. I dislike ghost face but he's not nearly as oppressive as this. I dislike deathslinger as well but he's not even considered a decent killer. I think you're trying to put all blame on one side when the thread is saying that he's more bugged and that's being taken advantage of.

Did I misunderstand the question? I thought you were asking why other survivors were finding him oppressive. Also that you were unable to determine that yourself because you don't find him OP.

I love playing fnaf while playing dbd
springtrap is peak

Well then we don't know why you find him oppressive. We think he's fine outside bugs (not the other rabbit) as he's pretty simple if effective about it.
Sorry, its not the answer they're lookin for.

His Oblivious effect is too long. That's the only thing I think is tuned too high for him.
Everything else can be negated if you're paying attention. His kit is actually pretty weak. Those axes are easily avoided, the Killer Instinct AoE is a bit annoying, but not unavoidable. His Oblivious though… no downsides and it's long. He's just an M1 Killer with a couple additions that don't really help much, imo at least. I do play around the middle ranks, so no idea how he is at high ranks.
Dislike comparing to other Killers, but everyone else either has a significant downside, cooldowns, slowdowns, or something to keep it balanced. That or it's a low duration effect. 5-6 second or so. There are add-ons to buff this, but they don't make it overbearing. Springtrap though… he can TP, and then walk across the map and still have the effect. Just seems like way too much.
His doors were annoying on release, but the bugs have been fixed with them, so they aren't bad. I do wish they'd be further away from gens, or possibly have them be facing at least one side of a gen. You can see the door number flashing when he is using it, so that would be a nice visible cue if you could always see it or something.
I get tired of the constant screaming "in my face" though. At this point, it's just annoying. I found the whole cut scene for it to be stupid, frankly, and while i know jumpscares are a part of the franchise… really? It seems… silly. Maybe not the right word, but eh. I do like that mechanic though, it's just… poorly implemented.

Generally a killer can have one or two of the following: mobility, stealth and a chase power. Springtrap gets all three. Imagine if Pig could teleport around the map and fling hatchets at you even after the stealth is over and she has entered chase.

when pigs fly…

He also gets great boons from having bad ping.
His hits are absolutely WILD.
You shouldn't be allowed to play with more than 120 ms ping.

The only issue I’m having with him so far is his speed. He catches up to Lithe/Sprint burst in under two seconds which killers in bloodlust don’t catch up that fast. Even Blight you can get distance on with exhaustion perks. But this guy seems to ignore all of that and just chugs along like speed racer and that’s a problem.
the only thing is, I don’t know if it’s a bug or if they intended for this guy to be the fastest killer in the entire game despite the fact that he can teleport.

LOL you want a full 10 seconds head start?! ahaaaaahaha

Same reason killers like Huntress and PH are so unfun to go against. They create lose-lose situations for survivors on windows and dropped pallets.

He's 4.6 without his axe and 4.4 with it. There's no way he's catching a sprint burster or lithe user quicker, than blight, ghoul, nurse, legion, spirit, Billy, Oni in power, heck even a good huntress(hatchet). Ive spent quite a bit of time with him and he excels when you don't path right honestly. Most survivors that I've double tapped have made pathing mistakes. He has some bugs and a few issues but speed ain't one of em.

The main counterplay that I see a lot of survivors not understanding yet, is that the panel is blinking whenever someone is travelling towards that door. I've been able to grab people I realistically shouldnt have been able to grab because the door was literally facing the generator. They get a 2.5-3 second warning that the killer is coming, if a survivor is coming, the camera very likely has moved prior to it. That's 10-12 meters of distance.
Once that information alone is actually commonplace for survivors, you wont see 3-4 kills with 3-4 gens remaining. It would more likely be 1-2 gens remaining.1 -
Excuses. He is a Huntress/ xenomorph ppl are used to him.

Average survivor here.
No coodown after hatchet throw só easy grabs
Tps on gens
Weird and glitchy Animations
Sounds arent that good
Invibility,stealth,killer instinct
Easy 3 gens
Glitches
His counters are meh. Time wasted on cams is time not using gens. His tps are weird to use on surv.
Overall a xenomorph on steroids
Average survs get low diffed by Legion so imagine spring with nasty perks

So… like I said. He gets to teleport on top of you with little to no warning.

Via bug. Not kit

so when I upload video of him doing exactly what I said, you can take back your comment. Whether it’s intentional or not, it’s what’s happening.
-1 -
What bug? Even without the invisibility, he gets to teleport right on top of you. Doors are inches from gens.

I am asking why he's oppressive but that doesn't mean I'm asking if he's liked. Nobody likes SM but she's not nearly as oppressive at this point to be asking about in threads. I just don't see how disliking something legitimately makes it a problem.

When you upload a video of him catching up to a survivor sprint bursting away quicker than blight spirit or nurse I'll stand corrected until then you either are misinformed or went against a hacker.
