Is there a way to fix the crashing issues for dbd on Switch 2?

Heya,

Dbd has never crashed for me ever, not on the OG Switch and also previously not on Switch 2. Ever since the release of the FNAF chapter for dbd the game has been continuously crashing for me.

It's never in one specific instance. It just happens whenever. The one thing I have noticed is that it happens the most when you quickly change skins or load in different characters or switch menu's.

But besides that the crashing also happens sometimes when I start up the game, try to load into a match (as both survivor or killer) or well yeah just do about anything. It's really frustrating! I have never had crashing issues before and since this update dbd just does not work for me and keeps on crashing. The game is pretty much unplayable right now and I can play like one match after 10 instances of crashing, if I'm lucky.

I already tried to completely delete and reinstall the game, but it still keeps crashing.

THE QUESTION: Does anyone know what I could do or try to fix this? I have seen multiple switch/switch 2 players also speak about the crashing suddenly happening.

I really hope the crashing can be resolved! I love dbd and my Switch 2 (and previously my OG Switch) are the only platforms I am able to play the game on.

I have the same problem. Almost after every match or even when I enter a lobby. Super annoying I stopped playing. We really need a switch 2 upgrade

I'm sorry but there's nothing you can do on your side to prevent the crash - there's should be a a fix in the hotfix planned for tomorrow to address the issue.

Whilst DbD is compatible with Switch 2 and currently runs without this crash issue, as it does on the original Nintendo Switch, at this time there are no plans for platform specific enhancements for the Switch 2 itself.

that’s disappointing! The PS5 and Xbox Series consoles received upgrades immediately. Hope you all reconsider.

I completely agree it’s incredibly disappointing that a game that looks and runs as poorly as that which got updated versions on Xbox and PlayStation pretty soon after new console releases isn’t even being considered for a “supported” platform. I haven’t played the hotfix yet ,but I hope it fixes some of the issues because it’s been very frustrating to play. That is aside from the general poor performance that the original Switch ran it at. I mean you’d think considering the Switch 2 is the fastest-selling console in well ever, they’d put a little core consideration in. In all honesty it’s pretty disappointing in the lack of native Switch 2 software in general so I can’t just say is bhvr.

Oh... I came across these forums looking for some news about a Nintendo Switch 2 version. We have quite a few players of this console in our community, hopefully the team will reconsider this possibility!

Wait so you have no plans to upgrade for the fast selling console launch ever? You just need to patch it for the switch 2.

So you don't want to expand the game to a huge market beyond the very poor switch version?

No way do I believe you'd make that business decision Behaviour. Is this Mandy for real? Don't believe this for a second. Even if theyre admin or a dev it seems unbelievable to the point of being nonsensical.

Itll be coming. They're here to make money
